Enjoyable Dinning

A colleague and I had an excellent dinner. We sat outside to enjoy the Gaslamp districts street seen. Food was well prepared and plentiful. Unlike other reviews, the tip was not added to the bill.

Newly married (just hours before) and still in our wedding attire, my husband and I decided to walk around the Gaslamp for an evening stroll. We decided to stop in to Asti for a glass of wine and a bite. They treated us like celebs, sat us down at a lovely table on the patio, served us an amazing bottle... More

My husband and I visited San Diego for the first time, for a milestone anniversary weekend. I did a lot of research before selecting Asti as our special occasion restaurant. All of the positive reviews I read online were spot on. We were seated inside, by request, and the ambiance was quite pleasing. Jordon was an exceptional waiter! Knowledgeable, professional... More

We had a wonderful dinner experience at Asti Ristorante. The lasagna is out of this world! The chicken parmesan was fresh and delicious. The hostesss out front is outstanding. I have never met a more knowledgable hostess that knew about every dish on the menu and how it was prepared. They were very kid friendly and the staff were great... More

Amazing Italian Food -- I've been very impressed with this italian restaurant and have dined there three times during visits to San Diego -- the "carpaccio di pesce" appetizer is always sublime and fresh; the beef carpaccio is also delicious; the fritto misto is crispy and the pastas all seem delicious (I've tried quite a few!) -- The restaurant is... The quality of Asti's is readily apparent when you look at every other 5th avenue restaurant at 9pm on a Tues night - relatively empty, while Asti's is always full. We've been going there over the last 16 years, and their menu and service remain among the best on in the Gaslamp. Specialty is Italian seafood, and they deliver -... More

on a quick little weekend trip to San Diego, we randomly chose this little gem! There are a few tables outside in the front but we ended up sitting inside at the most perfect little table in a back corner...we loved it! The waitstaff, and a gentleman we believe was the manager or owner, were ultra attentive. Our food was soooo... More

The Asti Ristorante is located in the middle of the Gas Lamp Quarter. I have visited the restaurant with the family for dinner. We ordered twice the "Chef's special" - Linguini with Seafood. The pasta was cooked to the point, but the seafood was either too cooked (white fish) or not through (scallops). Four our youngest, we have also ordered... More
