Great food

Just ate here and had the ravioli and cavatelle which were both very tasty. Price average, but be aware that the tip is included in the final bill, as we nearly got caught and went to tip. Would go back.

The Asti Ristorante is located in the middle of the Gas Lamp Quarter. I have visited the restaurant with the family for dinner. We ordered twice the "Chef's special" - Linguini with Seafood. The pasta was cooked to the point, but the seafood was either too cooked (white fish) or not through (scallops). Four our youngest, we have also ordered... More

Tourist and locals beware! They are adding the tip into your bill immediately in hopes of getting it twice. The waiter was very pushy and rude.

We went to this restaurant in the Gas Lamp Quarter and had dinner, my wife had the seafood special and there was no pricing on the menu for the special. I was floored when I got the bill for over $54.00 for a plate of noodles and a few pieces of fish and some shellfish. There were 4 of us... More

We visited this restaurant for a dinner since it looked ok and it was very crowded. What a dissapointment! first, it is very pricey (average 55 USD pp, no wine), second they charge you a 15% of tip (no optional) and third the food is mediocre, we ordered a plate of fried calamari (very greasy) which actually was half vegetable... We ate here as a family of four with two tween kids. Not a lot of kids eating here but we took a chance and ate inside. Nice decor though I could do without the cheesy Italian music being played rather loudly...that aside the food was excellent. Our table had soup, pasta, a fish dish and dessert. Everything was good.... More

I ate a seafood pasta there 15 years ago, and I ate a similar dish on my recent visit. Fabulous food.

The food was nothing special. What will draw you in are the pretty sidewalk hostesses who pull you in from the posted menu board on the sidewalk. I was wandering, looking for a place to have dinner, so it was easy to be led by the suggestion of a nice smile pulling me in and suddenly I was sitting down... More

Lunched there twice. The scallop and shrimp appetizer, caprese, linguine alla vongole - were all above criticism. Excellent service. Fair price. No consequences. Reminded a family ristorante somewhere in Venezia: very simple and very tasty.

First time visitor but will definitely be back. Once you walk in you would swear you were in Little Italy in NYC. The food is exceptional. The veal chop was the best I have ever eaten (between San Diego and Venice including Boston and NYC). The special Caprese salad was awesome: the mozzarella was made on site and the addition... More
