So I live a block from here and my boyfriend and I come about once a month on week days. It's always so so when we come because it's close and they have a good coffee cake. Today it was busy because its Saturday and we were asked to write our name on the wait sheet. We saw a few... More

We live in San Diego and rarely get out of the bubble of our neighborhood. We decided to bust out and spend the weekend at the Hotel Del Coronado and ended our adventure with breakfast at the Big Kitchen. YOU MUST GO HERE. The food is completely solid, coffee is strong but not bitter and the attitude and smile that... More

We had breakfast 5 times in a row and we chose everytime something different. We ordered salsa as well which is the best. The owner Judy the Beauty was very friendly and helpfull. The placd is packed with personal pictures so never a dull moment there.

If the owner is in she will give you the biggest welcome you have ever had. It is a fun an exciting place to have breakfast in a cute part of town. Whoopi Goldberg use to wash dish here! food taste like it is from your mammas kitchen. it is a place that is super casual, but don't be fooled... More

Take a ride to South Park/Golden Hill for a breakfast or lunch treat you will not forget. If you are lucky you will find Lucy...The Beauty on Duty. If she does not find you for some strange reason, ask if she is in. Once you meet her you will not forget her. She has been treating customers to special joys... More

Went recently for lunch and was very disappointed. Not only was the food not good but the service was nothing to write home about. Our waiter was not friendly, did not come back to check on us and seemed put out when I asked for a refill on my iced tea. My hamburger was so-so and had a funny chemical... More

This place has one of the best breakfast menus in town! Lots of art and pics on the walls. Some really cool outdoor seating as well as the old fashioned stools if you are alone or with one person and both like to chit chat with locals! Judy is infamous for helping bring that area (now called North Park) up... More

As a Former South Park resident before it was a hipster enclave, this was one of my favorite places for breakfast and lunch. Judy the Beauty still remains loving and a big supporter of her hood. However, her employees must play her like a fiddle, that's the only reason I can think of for the sub-par service we received when... More

I've dined here many times and the food is always great. Judi the owner is usually there and very friendly. The place is tiny and really busy on weekends. Worth the wait for some down home comfort food. Huge portions and freshly made breakfast items. Come for lunch and try the veggie lasagne, its' great.

We found this breakfast diner from reviews in Tripadvisor and Google and decided to give it a try. The food was excellent with huge servings and very friendly, chatty staff. Arrived at about 10 am and the place was packed but we found places at the the bar and enjoyed one of the best breakfasts of our 5 week vacation... More
