Authentic Dim Sum

We just came home from Taiwan and were craving dim sum. This place was highly recommended by a chef, so off we went. Ordered steamed pork dumplings, steamed shrimp dumplings, and beef noodle soup. All tasted authentic and the beef noodle soup, while a tad salty, had lots of tender beef in it... read more

Dumpling Inn moved not so long ago (same parking lot) into a much bigger facility, and necessarily so! The food is delicious and is not typical American-style Chinese cuisine. It matches much of what I've had in China and makes me long to return!

If you ask the server to omit any spices, as one in our party did, you will get some very passable but bland food, and the condiments and such on the table won't help. Finicky eaters should ask for at least a mild flavoring to their food. The dumplings are very good as are the sea bass and calamari.

I lost appetizer due to the wet hands of the waiter. I felt like he touched dirty dishes then brought out my plates. Food was just ok

That little dumpling shop in Montreal really set us on a path to find some great dumplings in our own hometown. Dumpling Inn is good - it's very good - and may well be one of our new favorite stops. To start, the service here is great. The wait staff is friendly and efficient, and take the time to answer... More

Went on a Tuesday morning just as they opened. No wait at all. Ordered a couple of cold dishes for appetizer - shredded radish and sliced pickled cucumbers. Quite good. Also had Xiau Long Bao and also scallop dumplings. Both were very good as reviewed by others. A must try is the deep fried Curry Beef Dumplings - kinda like... More

We ate here on a recommendation and we were not disappointed with the food. The restaurant is very popular with a lot of the locals from the San Diego Chinese community. We found the food to be very well prepared, tasty and quite authentic as compared to food we have had in China. All in all a very good Chinese... More

My husband and I went there last night expecting it to be the same teensy little "hole-in-the-wall" with excellent Chinese food we had been frequenting for the last 20 years, kitty-corner to the Korean Market. It felt like we were stepping into another plane of existence as we walked into that building that once housed the market but now had... More
