This restaurant is located fairly close to the U.S.S. Midway museum. This is the third time I have eaten at Anthony's and once again the food was excellent! We arrived at about 4:30pm, The place was not crowded so we were seated immediately. We sat at a table overlooking San Diego harbor. Service was fast and efficient. The food arrived... More

Convenient to our hotel. Great views of the water during the day. Wonderful fresh fish and good service.

Beautiful sunset. Happy hour menu had many choices. The shrimp was very good. Didn't love the garlic toast. Margarita was good.

Went to Anthony's with a group for a business dinner. Shrimp Scampi was good but not exceptional. The servicers were good, but again, not exceptional. I guess if you want a well worn seafood restaurant that has a pretty standard seafood menu, you won't be disappointed. I like to go to places with a little more creativity and updated atmosphere.

It is not the restaurant but the take away I am writing about. The sitting is on the water and it is the only positive of this take away. I had a clam chowder, I should say I ate a soup made of potatoes (difficult to find the clams in it). I am not expecting gourmet cooking in a take... More

I used to travel to San Diego 3-4 times a year and went to Anthony's on a regular basis. I have not been there in 20+ years and I partook of the food again. The menu has changed on some of the food, but I tried my old food, shrimp scampi and it was as awesome as I remember it.... More

This is a little order and pay restaurant attached to the much fancier Anthony's Seafood Restaurant on the harbor, close to the Maritime Museum. The menu of fish and chips and chowder is limited, but it is quick, tasty, and moderately priced for the excellent location on the harbor. We have eaten a meal with family several times over the... Our hotel was directly across from Anthony's so my husband and I ditched the family and went out to dinner by ourselves. The waitress EXCELLENT, the food just as EXCELLENT. Kudos to the head Chef cook my meat just the way I requested it. Excellent all around evening.

Right across from the Wyndham Hotel sits Anthony's Fish Grotto. Touristy, yes, but not a tourist trap. We enjoy a great lunch featuring a Salmon Reuben sandwich that was very good! Another evening we enjoyed steak and seafood dinners with a very reasonably priced bottle of Chianti Classico, sitting at a window overlooking the harbor. Great wait service eager to... More

In San Diego, right across the street from our hotel, the Wyndham Hotel Bayside, we lunch at Anthony's Fish Grotto Restaurant, opened in1946, a landmark waterfront restaurant. Once seated (there was a long queue) we were pleased that we waited for window seats with tremendous views of the water craft, a steady supply of boats parading by and a submarine... More
