Anthonys Grotto is located on the waterfront next to the restaurant and is an excellent alternative if you dont want to sit in a restaurant. The views are great and so is the food we have visited on several occasions and have never been disappointed. Gets very busy during the day but much quieter in the later afternoon 3pm onwards.... Loved the King Crab, the wine and the friendly service. SO GREAT!!... The staff is welcoming, kind and always seem to be smiling. They picked up on our needs and met them before even being asked. Wonderful restaurant!

I went for their happy hour and specials. Great food and great happy hour prices. It was a weekday at 4:30 and the bar area was almost full. Locals and tourists both like Anthony's. Right on the bay. They also have an outdoor area where you can order at a window and they call your number when food is ready.... More

Went to Anthonys as a teenager and sorry to say the decor has not been upgraded in all those years. Not only was the decor outdated so were the wait staff. The service was slow with not many people in the restaurant. The food was just ok at best and the menu looked to be the same menu that I... More

The staff were great and the seafood was ok. I'd say it's a mid level family style restaurant which capitalises on its prime location on a pier near the Cruise ship terminal. The food is certainly nice enough and well priced. The wait staff are very attentive and friendly

I was in town for a recent conference. Ate at Anthony's three times. Nothing special for each time I ate there. Was there mostly for convenience as the hotel I was staying at was across the street, and they had no hotel restaurant to grab a quick bite to eat. First night I had fish and Chips. I had better... ASG is a place that I enjoy for a special occasion, or just to enjoy good seafood. Perched on a small lake, or large pond, the view of ducks and swans swimming vying for scraps of bread offered by dinner in the park setting is relaxing and entertaining. And the food does not disappoint. The chefs are meticulous in the... More

I don't usually write a horrible review on any establishment but this one deserves it. They advertise as a first class seafood restarant but it is anything but. First to park in their parking lot they have parking meters, a quarter gets you 8 minutes. Then when you go in it's like a caffitera with cheap seats and tables. The... More

We wanted to dine on the Bay in San Diego and enjoy seafood. It was recommended to go to Anthony's. We weren't disappointed. The home made Clam Chowder was to die for and I had the Snapper Ranchero. It was delicious. Hubby had a shrimp cocktail and their signature Fish and Chips. What a treat! The margaritas were excellent as... More

As a child growing up in Phoenix, my family often vacationed in San Diego...my dad had also been stationed at Camp Pendleton, and we also had family friends there. Never ever missed a trip to San Diego without a trip to Anthony's! On this occasion I was a bit pressed for time so didn't eat in the restaurant..looks the same... More
