Had breakfast at the grill this morning with a friend. The seating service was prompt and super friendly. We had a corner table which had a window and comfy pillows! Our server was very friendly and attentive but not overbearing. I had the Texas cinnamon french toast and my friend had the lavender infused french toast. Both meals were very... More

We have eaten at this Grill several times during visits to San Diego. We have never been disappointed, their food is consistently good. The Pot Roast is always a favorite. The prices are reasonable. It is off the tourist track, so it serves mostly locals.

We arrived fairly close to closing on a Friday night but were welcomed without a hint of reluctance. Service was friendly and just the right amount of attention. The carrot ginger soup was very good. The goat cheese fritters were enough for 3 or 4 people and the red pepper couli was the right accompaniment. I took home half of... More

I am so happy I found this gem in my neighborhood. Stopped by for breakfast and ordered the Lavender infused French Toast- and OMG I was in heaven! Will definitely be stopping by for lunch and dinner.

The last time I was there, I know I arrived at 1:58 and the restaurant closes at 2:00 Yet all I wanted was soup to go. As I told the waitress that is all I wanted the cook signal me that it was OK yet the waitress told me the kitchen was closed and she would not take the order.... More

Walking in to AAG feels so familiar. The place is comfortably decorated and furnished, feeling like your own dining room. And the residential location only enhances that homey feeling. The food is great! Had the veggie special of stuffed roasted poblanos, very tasty, size able and filling. And at a reasonable price. Fair wine and beer selection to choose from.... More

This small hideaway is a favorite of locals for many years. The menu is unusual and food was excellent.....and local artists work is displayed for your enjoyment. It was nice to be able to talk without shouting, and to relax without being rushed out. Unassuming exterior, but don't judge the book by the cover!

I ate at this restaurant for the first time tonight and I will be back! It's in a neighborhood about 5 miles from where I live where there are a nice group of independently owned restaurants. Maureen, our server who has been there for 15 years, made us feel so welcomed as first-timers there. There was a nice wine selection... More

A great staff, ask for Tiffany as your server. Great food, the fire oven pizza is excellent. The desserts are absolutely killer. What makes the meal is Tiffany's service. She is friendly knowledgeable and half the fun of this grill.
