We had the dungeness crab steam pots, which included a pretty large serving of crab legs, an ear of corn & some steamed red potatoes. Add a couple of margaritas, and the bill was $150 for three people. The food was good, but seemed pretty overpriced. We were there for a fundraiser, so I was happy to be there, but... More

Thought this place was good, so finally went with 2 friends. We ordered crab-stuffed mushrooms, crab cake dinner, Caesar salad, stuffed shrimp dinner plus drinks of 2 beers and a soda. The "crab-stuffed mushrooms" had large pieces of some type of fish in them, obviously not crab. The "crab cakes" were quite bland, not much crab meat in them either,... More

A hole in the wall kind of place, very casual. Wouldn’t dine here otherwise but monumental hunger and their happy hour prices lured us in just in time. Service was good, we were pretty much the only people there. sat by the window watching the surfers while waiting for the clam strips and their giant bucket of all things crawfish... More

My wife and I went to Joes Crab Shack for our anniversary dinner on the recommendation of a friend. We certainly were not led astray!!! The steam pots we had were delicious and the staff are excellent. The service was very upbeat and helpful in deciding what to have off the extensive menu. We had so much fun there we... More

Such friendly staff here. Had more fun talking with our server and cracking crab legs. Food somewhat bland but very social time. Would try again with one of the other preparations....I just had steamed so was lacking excitement in taste.

We enjoyed the buckets of crab! Fresh, sweet and tasty! The staff was personable and efficient too. The prices were better than fair; I was surprised when I saw how inexpensive the place is!

San Diego is very well known for it seafood as well as many other great cuisines in the city and surrounding area. One of these place that we just keep going back to is JCS. We were in SD for a doctor's appt and got lost. While searching for his office we was the sign and decided to come back... More

We ate at Joe's Crab Shack one night after taking in a movie nearby. The atmosphere in the restaurant wasn't the cleanest nor the most comfortable. Our seating was basically a Park bench indoors but once the food arrived none of that mattered anymore. The crab legs were hot, Sweet and delicious! They came with butter but were so tasty... More

This is the place I love to take out of state and International visitors but the food and service is hit and miss. Two locations in San Diego have been troublesome. At the Oceanside location the ovens broke and we didn't get out of there for 3 hours. They didn't even comp us a coffee..... In the Pacific Beach location... More
