Description: In the 1900's, the Golden Lion Tavern drew people to the Gaslamp Quarter for fun and frivolity, and history hasn't changed much! Here it is less than a century later, and that same location has become a Hard Rock Cafe. The Cafe's cozy confines will wash all that local culture out of your head in no time, allowing you to fill it with important rock 'n' roll history and trivia. Ask about a Memorabilia tour!!!

In the Gaslamp section of the city. My first thoughts when entering were "looks a little dirty". The bar counter (where I chose to sit and watch the World Cup football) was extremely sticky/tacky. I did comment to the bar staff about this fact and the young lady was quick to attend to this matter, but not comment from the... More

My Mom and I stayed at The Westin so Hard Rock was a short walk from the hotel. We had dinner here and shopped for t-shirts. Our waiter, Mark, was professional and courteous.

It was easy to find, but this place, much like most of the gaslamp area eateries, is a bit run down. It has the regular collection of memorabilia in a smaller restaurant. Cocktail (compared to other Hard Rock establishments) was watered down. I have to say we were treated well by the server, but the food did not seem up... More

Short stop-over in San Diego. Found the HRC on a quiet Monday. The staff were super friendly and the manager was keen to make sure that all guests were being taken care of. I ordered the mahi sandwich, with onion rings. The server was knowledgable and recommended the way it should be cooked. It was chargrilled and delicious. I was... More

I'm sure it's a cool enough place all Hard Rocks are. We took forever to find it and once we did between street construction, traffic and way to many one way streets we made the block three times and could never find a place to park. We found a spot four blocks over but no way walking downtown that far... More

Won 't be back, didn't have a good experience. Service and food was a let down, Hawaii's Hard Rock Cafe is much better.

We had visited the rock shop on our first day but decided to save our meal until our last night of 4 in San Diego. Sheila was a great server. I have combo fajitas with chicken and beef and hubbie had a triple BBQ combo of pork, chicken and ribs. I had a small B&J ice cream and hubbie had... More

On our last night of our convention we had dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe. The food was great like always. Service was good and the wait was reasonable. Had a great time.

Six sixty something's visited for Happy Hour, post cruise. Very loud and noisy, even the batman could not hear. Had a great time. Beer good, wine good. Unfortunately we had to go somewhere else for dinner because conversation was impossible. Hard Rock Cafés not on our Bucket Lists but glad we went if only to embarrass our grown up children.
