At Isabel's Cantina, Chef Isabel Cruz fuses Latin and Asian cuisine into sensual and creative concoctions that are both remarkably addictive and surprisingly healthy. By incorporating ingredients from spicy pork carnitas to tofu, Chef Cruz creates a vegetarian's haven as well as a meat-lover's paradise. The exotic dining space is at once dramatic and hip, with accents such as an enormous 15-foot Buddha statue staring down at the dining room. Casual booths, stark lines, and warm colors create an atmosphere not found elsewhere in Pacific Beach, attracting crowds for brunch, lunch, and dinner.

Best breakfast burrito

Came for brunch here the food is delicious and on point. The breakfast burrito with sage sausage was the best burrito I've had in San Diego. The kale mimosas were an unexpected treat and I almost felt healthy drinking one with my brunch. Check this place out.

we stumbled across this place as we were breakfasting up the road at cafe 746, it is nicely unobtrusive. went in there for dinner with our daughter (6) and they were really cool with her. the food was very special and the service lovely if slightly scatty at times. highly recommend

So I've eaten at Isabel's Cantina 3 times before - solo. And once I brought a friend who lives in the neighborhood. I even gave it a good review on Trip Advisor because the first time I went to Isabel's the service was exceptional and friendly and the food was good. So I've been back when I am in town.... More

I live in the area and didn't notice Isabel's for some time. However, once I gave it a shot it became one of my favorite breakfast spots. The coffee is phenomenal (try their coconut iced coffee) and the food is great and also served in large portions. Give this place a go.

The food here was great - we had a curry noodle soup and some burritos for lunch one day. Came in for brunch a few days later and had the most outrageous peanut butter banana chocolate chip pancakes! The service was inconsistent but the food made up for it. We would definitely return.

Very different but good, its an experience coming in to this restaurant. The food is good, priced is ok, and staff is friendly. The only upside it is a little too hot outside and if you are stopping by do it on a day when its under 90, other than that if you like up beat trendy places you will... More

The food was delicious and beautifully presented. This is where you go when you want an upscale (San Diego style so still casual) brunch experience with something different. It's primarily savory Mexican food and there's plenty of American breakfast/brunch choices to please a mixed group. Street parking wasn't too difficult and there wasn't a line (probably because it's a bit... More

The place is really nice and very characteristic. Food and drinks are fresh and appetizing. I stayed several times at brunch but I tried also at dinner and I can tell surely nothing lower level....except the prices (+).

Excellent, fresh and healthy Mexican food. I had the steak tacos and they were fantastic, as was the banana dessert. The wine was also very tasty!
