Description: Fig Tree Cafe first opened in Pacific Beach in 2008 and has now opened its second location in the heart of Hillcrest. Our menu changes with the seasons as we use in-season, locally grown products. Our PB location was voted best Brunch in San Diego 2010 and we"re excited to bring this award winning cuisine to Hillcrest. Our dinner menu features items such as Short Ribs, Fig and Prosciutto Pizza, Lobster Ravioli, rosemary, thyme and lemon marinated Jidori Chicken, along with a moderately priced, eclectic wine list. We take great pride in our friendly, inviting and unpretentious style of service.

This was my first visit here. It was suggested by friends, reviews were great and I was very happy to have an enjoyable experience. Service was good, restaurant was pretty noisy but the food was excellent. I tried the stuffed french toast with strawberries and mango and a few bites of the lobster/crab eggs benedict. Everything was excellent, super fresh... More

I was here with two friends for dinner and we ask thought our food and the service was fantastic. I had an on fish special with lobster sauce that was absolutely amazing. The flatbread with figs on it was also really good. I'll be back again next time I'm in San Diego!

Not only is the food here scrumptious, the entire menu can be made gluten free which is such a treat for those of us who can't ingest gluten. I HIGHLY recommend the French toast with the Marscapone cheese. Ridiculously good! The Service is also fantastic, can't wait to return...

Good for people looking for animal welfare. Some organic options. Taste was OK, nothing extraordinary here

There were a few brunch spots in Hillcrest with long waits for a table on Labor Day. This had no line and were we ever pleasantly surprised! Though it was busy, service was prompt and the food was outstanding. Big portions and quite fresh. Best potatoes ever. Minor complaint, the air conditioning is a little weak. No need to wait... We live nearby and come here often. The food is always very good, and is freshly made from real ingredients. It has a little more flare in the recipes than most places. Friendly service.

We have a small dog and were looking for a nice place to eat and boy did we score. We have eaten here before and knew they were dog friendly. We were seated on the patio out front (wonderful for people watching). Mica was our wait person and from the start he was fantastic. He came out with a cool... More

I walked into this place by chance. The menu options are great! I loved the fried egg sandwich. Service was okay but it didn't matter because I was completely into my sandwich.

Came here for the first time before seeing a play at the Old Globe and loved this restaurant. The service was outstanding, the restaurant is open and rustic, and there is an ample patio for outdoor dining. They also have some outstanding wines (I highly recommend the Super Tuscan, it was fantastic) and a great beer and drink selection. We... More

I love Fig Tree Cafe! I normally go to the one in PB but ended up coming here bc it was closer to me at the time. The food was just as good as what I get in PB. We got the meatloaf hash and the stuffed french toast which were just all to die for! Love the free coffee... More
