On par with the best new restaurants in Los Angeles. The mixed drinks are refined. The sashimi... perfection.

The downside for me is that i'm not under 30 and most of the patrons are and at times they are unbearably loud! That said the terrace is wonderful, I could sit out here all day quite happily. My latest visit was for brunch with a group of friends before watching the Oscars. We had the DIY mimosas which were... More

The restaurant was better than expected. We've had bad luck at fancy looking hotel restaurants with nice ambiance. This restaurant is no poser. Really good food and fantastic view of sunset on the beach. Exceeded expectations. Great service.

recommended by friend who lives near by. Our group of 4 had a very nice diner on the patio. very relaxed. not too much noise. We shared grilled octopus, then I had Halibut (fished 50mi offshore) then we shard some dessert. I had a mango chili margarita which was a very nice asia-mexico fusion. service was courteous yet friendly. Price... More

Fancy, schmancy, as my 9 year old daughter put it. Stopped in on a whim on a Saturday night after being at the beach all day. We stay in the vicinity a couple times a year and it was within walking distance to our hotel. We have tried other places in the area, but JRDN is the nicest by far.... More

Lovely spot for lunch in Pacific Beach. Sitting on the patio while watching beach-goers was a treat. It was an upscale lunch option. Most places are beachy burger joints - which looked fun, but we wanted a healthier option, which JRDN provided. My favorite salad on the trip!

Lovely atmosphere and good food - a bit overpriced, truthfully, but if you can get in on the lunch menu and get a burger, it'll be worth it. Dinner was overpriced but tasty - don't know that we'd return (...maybe for dessert - the coffee and donuts looked amazing!)

Recommended by a local we met while in La Jolla who told us we couldn't leave San Diego without eating here. He was right. We were able to get a reservation on the same day, complete with a view of the beach. Happy Hour was just ending as we arrived and it was very loud in the foyer and open... More

WE have eaten here on a visit a couple of years ago and wanted to try it again. The restaurant was attentive to our needs as we changed our reservation times twice in one day. We still got what we asked for with a patio table with a great view of the ocean and the sunset. The salad is always... More
