Get a table outdoors and watch the waves come in and the world go by while you dine. The happening beachside location of this hip and partly open-air restaurant and bar is topped only by the Lobster BLT sandwich. It is so good that when I go there for lunch, I almost never have anything else even though the menu... More

This is an excellent place, it's one of those top-tier establishments that you get excited to experience the quality of the food and the level of preparation. The menu has a good assortment that should satisfy a variety of tastes and moods. They offer some of the classic favorites when it comes to fish and seafood, but really appreciated was... More

We didn't stay in the hotel. We just had some spicy margaritas, ceviche and burgers. The burger meat was really tasty! The views of pacific beach are also amazing. The only negative point was the behavior of one of the waitress: in order to see what was inside one of the burgers, she removed the top bun with his hands...... More

We stopped in here to get some drinks and appetizers. We were first seated inside, which was too noisy to hear each other. We managed to get a table outside after talking to our server, much better for the view and the noise level. Food was good, and drinks were OK, but even at the happy hour prices it was... More

This place was excellent from beginning to end. Several unpredictable and unconventional dishes. Servers were unusually warm, and personable in a place that could have been "stuffy". We ate outdoors, enjoying the candle light as dusk turned into night They topped off our exceptional meal with a gratuitous dessert. Simply a night to remember.

I love cheap tacos when I visit San Diego, but sometimes you want to wear shoes and look a little nice. JRDN seems very scene-y, but the seafood is top-notch and the servers are fantastic. It's a little too pricey in my opinion and I've had some really weak cocktails here. The should really update their cocktail menu. I've been... More

Had an early birthday dinner with friends, so we ate outside and were able to enjoy a great view, then a wonderful sunset and finally the very beautiful effect from the reflection of the interior lights on the glass wall outside. We started with the Jumbo Prawns (amazing!) with a very delicious cocktail sauce and then moved on to our... More

Don't choose it for special events. I was traveling from out of town to stay at Tower23 Hotel for my wife's 40th birthday. I made a reservation on line a few weeks before and noted that we would be having dinner on my wife's birthday and we would like a good table and was hoping for a special experience. When... More

Good service, good bar drinks. There is a complete offering of cocktails including a Pisco Sour which I hadn't had since being in Peru. I loved the Scallop dish on the menu for dinner and had excellent Eggs Benedict for breakfast one morning.

This is the 4th time eating at JRDN. The oceanfront location is beautiful! My hubby and I shared the sashimi tuna and the mussels . Both were delicious! We tried the ribeye and were very disappointed. It was extremely fatty. Our server immediately had the manager talk to us and we had a filet instead. It was good but not... More
