Very Good dishes from India, the Himalayas and Nepal. A good selection of vegetarian and meat dishes including Tandoori served on a sizzling hot plate. The restaurant is in a small shopping center near a 7 11, but don't let that put you off. It can get crowded on a Saturday night and from 6:30 or 7:00 there might be... More

If you are not a fan of Indian foods or spices please do not check this place, but for those whom the great spicy ingredients of Indian foods are admirable, I can tell you that a Himalayas's dish is not going to satisfy you. The amount of food they serve is not much and in fact it was not enough... More

some of the dishes are really tasty and authentic e.g. chicken curry, lentil soup, chicken chilly and some of the himalayan cuisines. I liked Samosa too. Small cozy place. Lunch specials on the weekends are totally worth the money.

The ambience was excellent. The manager and the workers were very friendly and made us comfortable. The taste and spiciness of the food was perfect & we enjoyed our lunch here completely. This is a must visit restaurant if you are around this place & want to have Indian food

My husband & I were craving Indian food and decided to try this place after being intrigued by the overall 41/2 star rating with some dissident 1 & 3 star comments. My husband grew up in nearby Pt. Loma in the 70's and commented that at that time this location was a rough area. Even now, this restaurant is in... More

We have never tried northern Indian food, but let me tell you it was so good. My kids loved everything especiallly the naan bread. Customer service was great and the prices were great too. We will be going back for sure.

Housed in an unassuming strip mall in the Sports Arena section of San Diego's Point Loma neighborhood, Taste of the Himalayas delivers a surprisingly varied menu of unusual dishes. Chef Dipak Thakuri demonstrates his skills with foods of the Indian subcontinent, offering everything from standard fare such as chicken tika masala to Nepalese Lukshya ko Momo. Service is attentive and... More

We always planned to stop there when we were in SD & have told several friends about it. We recently (7/23/13) took family there that were visiting us and really talked it up on our way there. I have never been more embarrassed! We ordered the same thing I always do and at the same heat rating, but it was... More

Went there for dinner just to have some Indian food, and was nicely surprised with the authentic food they served. They had nice welcoming staff, who provided fast service. Definitely recommend this place for good Indian food; however, make sure to call for reservation in advance since they do not have lots of tables.

My husband and 3 daughters ate lunch here yesterday. The restaurant is located in a very ugly strip mall with terrible parking. We ended up parking on the street but didn't mind once we walked into the place. Nice atmosphere, pretty music and friendly staff greeted us as we entered. We were seated right away. With the exception of my... More
