Best Indian in San Diego

The taste and the spices that come through your palate are significantly better than any other Indian restaurant that we have tried in the San Diego area

Good variety on the lunch special menu, with Chicken Tikka Masala taking most popular although I liked the Salmon Masala. The strip mall location on this stretch of Midway Drive is less than inspiring and parking is a challenge, so the flavor rewards are the balance point in tipping the scales.

There are plenty Indian restaurants in San Diego, but we make it a point to go to this restaurant when we crave for really good Indian food. The "achari chicken" is out of the world. Service is good and so is the ambiance.

This is a great lunch place a block for the sea coast highway in La Jolla. Great service and delicious lunch selections

We had Chicken Tikka MaSala which was very good. The lamb chops, ordered medium, arrived well done. Perhaps cooking the rack whole would help. It was however, a great deal at less than 20 bucks. Breads were good. Limited beer and wine available. No hard stuff. Close to Days In and Hojo Inn.

I love this place. They have very good staff and awesome food which is consistent in taste !!! The other location in La Jolla is not worth going to.

I really loved this place and we would eat here frequently over the last few years, however, it has gone downhill unfortunately. In the last 2 visits our food was not good, in fact just 2 nights ago it was actually inedible. I had ordered the saag paneer and the amount of salt in the dish made it completely inedible.... More

I bought a Groupon for this restaurant. The Groupon had a link to the restaurant's web site. When I clicked on the link, Taste of the Himalayas web site appeared. It ONLY showed one location on Midway Drive. But the Groupon itself displayed a La Jolla address. So I called the restaurant from the web site and spoke with a man.I asked him if... While looking for a place to eat before a concert at the sports area we came across Taste of the Himalayas. Since I have always wanted to know what they Himalayas tasted like I convinced my friends to have this be our selection before we drove the few blocks over for the show. The restaurant is super cute and deceiving... More

One of the special offerings was Nan of the Month, my opportunity was for Onion Nan which was Outstanding! Had a spicy Lamb appetizer with a substantially delicious Veg Samosa
