Good airport food

Suffering through a flight delay in the San Diego airport, I decided to find food. The line were long at the burger places, and I wanted something better, anyway. I found really good food, excellent friendly service (Lindsay) and a surprising variety of bourbon choices at the bar. If you are... read more

My husband and I visited this restaurant based on the positive Trip Advisor reviews. It was not close to where we stayed. We dined before walking into Balboa park to see a show at the Old Globe theatre (walk took about 20 minutes). We were really impressed. We arrived in time to partake in some of the happy hour food... Found this restaurant on Trip Advisor. Had some good reviews and decided to try it. Although we had to take a cab from the Hyatt it was worth the trip. The food was delicious and the decor different. Had trouble finding our way in with unusual doors. The food was delicious and our server was very attentive. The only reason... More

We tried this restaurant after have read the TA reviews and we can confirm that this is a very nice place to have dinner. Located out of the touristic routes the restaurant is beautiful a with a good atmosphere. The quality of food is high as well as the beers local they have on the menu. We had a great... More

We were in San Diego for two weeks, ate almost all our meals out and this was our best dinner of the trip. Although we like beet salad, lately most restaurants seem to serve it with goat cheese. Since we are not cheese lovers we usually don't order it, but Bankers Hill prepares it with radishes, lardons and whole grain... More

Environment is high in energy, decor easy to enjoy, and the food is outstanding especially for the price point. worth visiting and enjoy one of the many outstanding wines, a starter and a main course. If there is room for it, the 4 desserts we tried were all good.

First time customer. Dined with family, not a problem if kids are well behaved. Kids menu available and a very good deal. Great ambiance for special occasion or date. Had the meatball appetizer, steak, and bratwurst dishes with a good wheat beer. Dessert was nice. Staff were very professional. I expect I'll return next time I'm in SD.

Location - Bankers Hill, just up the hill from downtown, on your way to Balboa Park. Old restored brick building with a great outside patio area and big bar. Food - farm to table, creative, delish. Have yet to try something I don't like! Drinks - craft cocktails, good beer & wine selection. Price - completely reasonable! Love this place!

So happy I live in this city so that I can experience the wonderment of Banker's Hill. Menu items always change with the season, food is always of highest quality and flavor, service impeccable and ambiance just right. If you want a great farm-to-table meal in San Diego, this is the place to get it.
