First time customer. Dined with family, not a problem if kids are well behaved. Kids menu available and a very good deal. Great ambiance for special occasion or date. Had the meatball appetizer, steak, and bratwurst dishes with a good wheat beer. Dessert was nice. Staff were very professional. I expect I'll return next time I'm in SD.

Location - Bankers Hill, just up the hill from downtown, on your way to Balboa Park. Old restored brick building with a great outside patio area and big bar. Food - farm to table, creative, delish. Have yet to try something I don't like! Drinks - craft cocktails, good beer & wine selection. Price - completely reasonable! Love this place!

So happy I live in this city so that I can experience the wonderment of Banker's Hill. Menu items always change with the season, food is always of highest quality and flavor, service impeccable and ambiance just right. If you want a great farm-to-table meal in San Diego, this is the place to get it.

At Balboa Park on a Monday for the Italian Film Festival, we were surprised to find out everything closed by 4pm within walking distance. Found this place just outside the park and what a treat. Great Gastro-Pub ambiance, wonderful service and great food. Best Truffle fries we've ever had and not too salty. I had the pork tacos and my... More

Our Jet Blue flight from New York arrived at 7:45pm and by 9pm we were at Bankers Hill enjoying a great casual dinner. I had deviled eggs then hanger steak. Each of our friends had something else. Terrific. I can't think of a nicer way to arrive in San Diego.....that Jet Blue doesn't serve "real food" is a good thing.... More

My daughter just moved to the Bankers Hill area so we met her for dinner at this restaurant on a friend's recommendation. They told me it was really good but I think they understated how good it really is. We are pretty picky but everything was great except for maybe part of the restaurant being too dark. At this restaurant... More

Always innovative, fresh, and delicious. Good wine list and interesting cocktails. They keep about 20% of their tables open for walk-ins. We had wild boar meat balls served on a bed of polenta with fresh corn kernels, steamed spinach, and baby squash, topped with chunky tomato sauce. Wow!
