I had not been to Terra ever since Jeff had moved from Hillcrest. We went during restaurant week last night. I had the best lobster mac and cheese on the planet. Everything was just perfect from the time we walked in till we left completely full. Outstanding service coupled with great food can't be beat.

We had a very nice meal a few days ago at this Bistro. I don't care for the completely open dining space but it was comfortable and the food was delicious!

This place was in San Diego for a long time and moved to La Mesa. The food is excellent as evident on a Tuesday night at 6PM the place was packed. We sat at the bar and had dinner. The stuffed pork chop was fantastic as was the ceasar salad I had to start. My friend had the fish stew... More

fresh, farm to table cuisine, atmosphere a little noisy, seating a little crowded, but you won't notice any of that once the food arrives. We have been to lunch, dinner and brunch and will keep going back, never disappointed.

We ate here with our "gluten free" friends on the recommendation of another friend. The interior is done in warm colors with thoughtful lighting. You'd think you stepped into one of those tucked away neighborhood eateries in San Francisco. The gluten free bread was excellent, we liked it better than the regular. We shared the Baked Brie, cranberry and pecan... More

This was my first visit to Terra though the friends with whom I went go there fairly regularly. The menu can probably best be described as new American. The physical space is very appealing and much more chic than one would expect from this part of San Diego (which is not the slightest bit "shady" as described by another reviewer).... More

The food was amazing. The service was great. The neighborhood is a little shady, so when we went to eat there it was surprising to find an upscale eatery had moved into the area. The chef is top notch. It gets crowded for a reason. Full bar and they serve breakfast on the weekends.

5 of us dined on a Tuesday night. We made reservations @530 and only a few tables were taken - but full by 7:30. Our waitress was bubbly, knew the menu & offered several recommendations to the 2 of us first timers. We ordered a salad (goat cheese, beets, arugula ) & entree. We're not from the coast - so... Our service experience was so bad that I suspect that it was just a one-time apparition. We had a reservation (Friday @ 6:45) and were seated promptly. However, we watched as many tables around us were seated later but were attended to by wait staff while we waited 10-15 minutes before our server finally made her first appearance. We ordered... This is a very small but cozy place to enjoy a good meal. Everything is fresh and scrumptious. Drinks are very tasty and they have great service.
