France in Ocean Beach ? YEP! DELICIOUS.

A European experience. Everyone loved their food and we are four foodies - and two live in France. I am trying to copy their duck confit with roasted mushrooms to make at home across the country - it was one of the best things I've ever tasted. I have scoured the internet for such a recipe. Great... read more

I love everything about this place. The food is always fantastic. The rustic French ambiance is lovely. The drinks are well balanced and sophisticated. The wine list is well done. Love love love this place.

My wife and I were visiting her sister and husband, and we asked for their suggestion as to where we could take them out for dinner. They had been to Bo Beau in its previous incarnation as Thee Bungalow, and as they wanted to test out the more recent iteration, they proposed a visit here for dinner. We crosschecked the... More

We started with escargot and were going to have the moules & frites, but they were out of mussels (which sometimes happens on Sundays due to a busy weekend). Steak frites instead. SO GOOD! Get the herb butter. What a charming, romantic, flavorful bistro.

The jazz classic, "I Found A New Baby," popped into my head as we entered Bo Beau recently. Turned out to be prophetic. This pastoral French restaurant offered up some of the most fabulous meals we discovered during our 2-month stay in San Diego. Was the noise level high? Certainly. But the attentive service and trading tributes with each other... More

Who says French cuisine is out of reach? We found a delightfully casual yet authentic French restaurant called Bo Beau, near Ocean Beach, San Diego. While they are famous for (I am not kidding) crispy Brussel Sprouts, they feature a huge array of meats, shell fish and vegetables prepared authentique à la française ! You are sure to like their:... There’s eating out (casual & fun), there’s fine dining (crystal & linen) and then there’s a truly unique dining experience…welcome to Bo-beau’s. The moment you enter it envelopes you…there’s a unique vibe to this place. It doesn’t have a typical restaurant feeling or look. It’s a stand alone sanctuary that is hard to describe in mere words, like trying to... More

Went to BoBeau for a family birthday- loved the French Country feel. The service was excellent once we were seated (very popular & crowded, but worth the wait) and the food was incredible! I don't usually care for brussel sprouts, but their appetizer is amazing & they sell the baslamic marinade they use. The pistachio crusted salmon was sooo delicious,... More
