Creole and Cajun mouth watering food.

There is only 2 places worth their salt for New Orleans food in San Diego and this is one of them. Small, inside or outside eating. It's in a funky industrial area so outside you don’t get the flavor as much as inside. It has all your classics, crawfish, shrimp and alligator sausages, Jambalaya... read more

Wow! This place comes pretty darn close to food from NOLA. Since NOLA makes you come back for the food, I loved the Soft Shell Crab there that I had to try it here too. I must say when the food was set down in front of me I was a little disappointed because the crab looked small. But man... More

Have eaten at Bud's many times. First Review. Authentic Cajun food, not the best atmosphere, but the food certainly makes up for it. Try the Alligator appetizer, catfish, Oysters, Short Ribs, to top it all off the BREAD PUDDING.

I have not been to the new location but the food at the old location was very good - especially the seafood bisque. Service was a little slow but the place was crowded.

Nice little spot for lunch. So glad I stopped in. The service was impeccable. I had the fried oyster po-boy and the waiter recommend the bacon wrapped version. I was very pleased with the recommendation. I will definitely come again when I am in the neighborhood.

my husband and i used to go to this restaurant when it was downtown san diego…it took us awhile to find it again! thank goodness we did : ) everything is delicious and tastes homemade - we are sad that it doesn't have the ambiance as before (in random business park) but its easy for us to get to and... Stopped here for lunch with my son. 20-30 min wait ended up 5-10. Because we waited 5-10 for server they offered us 15% discount. Had the BBQ shrimp Po Boy and my son had the pulled pork po boy. Both were excellent. Will return.

We arrived pretty early for dinner (before 5pm) and the restaurant was already crowded. At first, because we did not have a reservation, we thought we were out of luck, but one of the wait staff squeezed us in. We were very pleased with all aspects of our dining experience and asked about reservations for the next day. Ack! Closed... More

What a surprise to find this gem of a restaurant located off I-15 at Balboa right here in San Diego! It's not a large place in fact it has a cozy yet contemporary vibe offering intimate tables and space for larger groups both inside and out. Heaters make outdoor dining pleasant year-round. The menu offers all the right stuff from... More

BUD's is awesome. Who would ever think of find super Cajun food in San Diego! I highly recommend the cornbread, and the Taste of New Orleans, which was a generous portion of fried (lightly battered) catfish and crawfish étouffée! I had to top off dinner with a couple of beignets. I'm in a wonderfully pleasant food coma!
