Excellent Service Very Good Food

When making a reservation we were asked if there was a special occasion which it was (anniversary). From the moment we walked it the service was excellent. Our menus even opened up to read "Happy Anniversary". It definitely made the night special. We were given edamame to snack on and ordered... read more

We had lunch at this outlet of Roy's Hawaiian restaurant chain. Nothing special at all. The salads were bland as well as the signature macadamia nut crusted mahi mahi. The Atlantic salmon was ok. The atmosphere is unremarkable except for the nice view of the harbor. It does not compensate for the food. However, the staff were friendly. This chain... More

Wow, what a great dinner we had at Roy's for our first night in San Diego. This place has excellent food with a great location. This is by no means a tourist trap because of its beautiful location! We started with the lobster potstickers and then had the Trio of Fish and the Macadamia Crusted Steel Headed Trout (similar to... More

Great experience in every way. We tried several dishes and all were great, but the Butterfish and the California Lobster Roll were our favorites. The waitress and kitchen staff were extremely accommodating and attentive. Top all that off with a great view and it would be hard to beat.

Great food - loved and would recommend the butter fish! Its my favourite. The wine list is good; maybe a bit over priced. The rib appetizer and blackened ahi tuna was delicious. My only complaint would be that we tried to get reservations on open table. Earliest they could do was 845. I called they said earliest was nine. I... More

Here is a suggestion, sit on the backside of the bar, have some cocktails, order the appetizer menu, (especially the ribs...a meal in themselves). You will get away inexpensively and might strike up a conversation with any of the large yacht owners who frequent the place. Tales of the seafaring wealthy set abound.

For fine dining, definitely worth a visit for at least one evening meal. If you sit outside, bring a sweater or jacket. Good service and excellent menu. Very accommodating. Excellent quality.

Beautiful location overlooking the bay. We enjoyed fresh sushi. The ahi melted in my mouth and the cocktails were strong
