Wonderful seating by the bay. My friend ordered from the vegetarian menu, but they no longer served the tempura which she wanted. She wanted to know the vegetables in the stir fry and was told they were carrots, snow peas and onions, which didn't interest her. She felt that if certain meals were not offered, it should not be on... More

Ok, go there very hungry!! Eat everything you can fit. And order the butter fish as your entrée. This is good advice. Everyone at the table who did not order butter fish wished they had, not because their entrée was bad, but because the butter fish was that much better.

We had a seat next to the water and could watch the sunset over the harbor. I've been to Roy's in SF a couple of times, and had good experiences, so we wanted to try this one. I am not writing this on a timely basis. We were there in early September, so I can't tell you precisely what I... More

I went there for lunch around 2pm on a Thursday. Ours was the only occupied table at that time. Service was unbelievably slow. Food was good as always at any Roy's.

Happy to report the "hype" about Roy's is totally warranted. You are treated like gold as soon as you arrive and throughout your meal experience. Wait staff very fluent in the menu. A complimentary appetizer was provided when meal took a little long to deliver. The scallops were delicious; the lobster pot pie not so great, but a matter of... More

After a long week of meetings, a co-worker and I stopped in since it was downstairs from our hotel. We munched on edamame and sipped on margaritas, then moved on to Lakanilau roll, followed by the seafood trio for her and the filet and lobster for me. Everything was incredible and our service was fantastic.

Roy's is a wonderful Hawaiian Fusion restaurant and the food is always wonderful but can be pricy. Fixed price Mondy gives you three courses from the regular menu for $36. That's lower than the cost of one main course meal! We couldn't make it to desert as we were so full but our waiter just boxed it up for us... More

My husband and I were walking along the boardwalk and decided to eat at Roy's because of the view that looks over the marina and harbor. The view was lovely, the restaurant was lovely, the service was lovely. In my opinion the food was not as lovely as I expected it to be. For the price, keep walking.
