We have been to other Roy's before and were expecting good food and service. The waiter seemed to be all about boosting the bill but not about service. Our ice tea and water were not refilled but the wine was poured at every sip. The food was very mediocre at best. There were 6 meals ordered so it was not... More

We walked past this restaurant on the San Diego Waterfront the evening before, and noted it was the most busy in the area. We decided to have a family meal there the following night, and am glad we did. We didn't have a reservation but managed to get a nice table by the window. The restaurant was very busy as... More

I was looking to take my wife to a Romantic Setting Restaurant to celebrate our 20th wedding Anniversary, and I hit a Home Run by picking Roy's San Diego Waterfront Restaurant. The window table we had over looking the many yachts and boats in the beautiful harbor of San Diego, was very Romantic. Our server Jenny was so nice and... More

We went here for lunch and we thought this was a bit pricey for what you get.. the lunch menu didn't seem very discounted at all. But the food and drinks were good, and the view is great.

We got to San Diego tired after traveling a long day. Checked in and went to the marina for a walk and to find a lunch place. We were fortunate to pick Roy's The service was great. Forget his name but was exceptional. Anyway we had a bunch of appetizers Pork ribs were wonderful. Had the crab cake which was... More

I'm not one for Asian fusion because some restaurants just can't do it right. Having grown up in Hawai'i, I have an affinity for authenticity, and when that is shaken up, I get a little uncomfortable. However, Roy's does such an excellent job at fusing innovation with authenticity along with sheer originality. Lobster Potstickers - YUM. Potstickers. Lobsters. I mean,... More

It took a little while to be seated so when we were seated the server brought a complimentary watermelon poke appetizer. The fish tacos were fantastic. Lovely patio dining by the marina.

My fiance and I were big fans of Roy's when we lived in Hawaii, so we were excited to go to the San Diego location. And they did not disappoint! The food was amazing (always get the macadamia nut crusted mahi mahi and the ahi poke - so good!) as was the drinks and dessert (the chocolate souffle is a... More

Awesome fusion cuisine and the dessert rocks!!! The Chocolate Mousse Cake sounds nothing like the absolutely delightful treat it really is! It is served with delicately caramelized banana slices, Pistachio ice cream and crunchy toffee wafer😋

We had dinner here on an unseasonably hot evening and their A/C wasn't working, so we seriously schvitzed throughout our meal. They were very apologetic and gave us coupons toward a future meal. The service was friendly, but a bit slow. The food was better than average, but perhaps not as good as the price would merit. The bottom line... More
