I have dined at the Roy's in Chicago and Las Vegas with mixed feelings. I decided to give the one in San Diego a try on the advice of a friend. The experience was a disappointment. The staff was very friendly as in all of our previous experiences, but the food just did not hit the mark. The server recommend... More

I ate here several times while attending a conference. It has great outdoor dining and the menu is good for both lunch and dinner. It's also really close to the convention center.

Had lunch here on a Saturday; we sat outside and had a beautiful harbor view. There were 3 of us and we all ordered the pre-fix lunch menu. Started w/ a trio of appetizers, a tasty lobster roll, 1 giant coconut shrimp and a pork rib in a smokey mongolian sauce- SO GOOD. Then we all ordered all the entree's... More

Great views and a wonderful menu of great dishes. The starters were amazing - try the ribs or catchup of the day

Roy's is a bit hard to find, an it's on the water side of the Marriott Marquis, just next to the convention center. It's worth finding, though; the food is quite good, and the service is excellent. I really recommend eating outside near the fire pit; the marina is right there, and there aren't many better places to soak up... More

Came here for my birthday and they made it so special. I had never been to a Roy's before and I wasn't disappointed. They started off with a little special menu displaying my birthday. We had some cocktails, which were very good, and sushi as a starter. Very fresh, good quality sushi although I won't go so far as to... More

My wife and I went to Roy's on the Waterfront in San Diego last week and had a great Dinner. Roy's tables have a wonderful view of the San Diego Harbor and Yachts. Rachel our server was so nice and professional and would do anything to please us. We started with the Canoe Appetizer for Two, which included Thai Peanut... More

Even though it says it's located in the Marriott, it is on the property but detached and a bit weird to find the front door - easier to just head to the marina and find it that way. Drinks were a bit strong for me, but I think because I had been traveling all day since my friend enjoyed both... More
