Great Neighborhood Locale in South Park

Just ate here last night for the first time. Had read favorable things about it and all were true. Cute venue, easy to find. Primarily street parking which can be hit or miss in South Park area. Bar area adjoins restaurant so it might get a tad noisy if really busy. Tables decently spaced... read more

They easily handled our large party of 11. Everyone seemed to enjoy their dishes. I personally sampled the pickled veggies; didn't care for the spin on it which tasted like chili powder or some similar spice was added. The chicken chicharrons were good, but basic, no seasoning. I really enjoyed the fish and chips.

I was visiting my daughter and girlfriend and my daughter wanted us to visit this new and upcoming neighborhood. We had a young male waiter who definitely had a decent personality but no experience in serving. We ordered fried onion rings, fried green beans, butternut squash soup vegi burgers, salads, and other meals. This was a catastrophe!!! We were served... More

This was my first time here and probably not my last. The grass feed burger my husband ordered was so delish that I want one for myself next time. I opted for the Columbian stew which was tasty and hearty and not something that I had expected to find in a place like this little joint. There liquor selections were... More

My husband, mother-in-law, and I came here to "test" the ambiance and food for my birthday dinner. I chose this place originally because of the convenient location, great selection of craft beer, cocktails, and wine, in addition to food that would satisfy us vegetarians as well as our meat eating friends. Needless to say, the test was fabulous, because we... More

We had heard good things about Alchemy and decided to sample their weekend brunch. We were very impressed. The bar features bottomless bellinis plus a variety of variations on the bloody Mary. The menu includes a nice selection of locally sourced fare. We can vouch for the quality of the benedicts, biscuits and gravy and scrambles. Service is friendly and... More

During a recent visit to San Diego I had lunch at Alchemy with two of my daughters and granddaughters. The food was delicious and attractively presented, which is no doubt why the small dining area was full at lunch time. The prices are reasonable, portions are manageable, and the room is attractively decorated. The waitress was very helpful when we... More

The restaurant was interesting. We were quickly seated and received our drinks. Dinner was ok. My wife ordered the gnocchi, she said she enjoyed it and in fact ate the entire entree. However the portion size was very small. For her to be the first one done eating and she cleared the entire plate before I was half way finished... More
