Great brunch!

With my last Sunday in San Diego, my daughter suggested we try the Bali Hai brunch, which apparently is a Go To place on Sunday for many. They advertise their Sunday hours as 09.30 to 14.00 but the earliest they could take us was 13.30. I was a little suspicious because we told them we had two... read more

My daughter is a local and raves about this place so of course we had to try it during our visit. We sat out on the deck were the view was fantastic. The meal was good but not, in my humble opinion, great. We shared some mussels to start. Good. My wife had shrimp and grits which was a special... More

Oh, we were so looking forward to a nice Sunday buffet brunch with panoramic views of the San Diego harbor, but Bali Hai's buffet brunch was a big mistake. Having been to 4 other SD restaurants with views for brunch in the past year, we have to rate the one the worst so far. By cutting corners, the restaurant leaves... More

What a great location! The view is terrific and the food is mighty great too. I had the fresh catch. It was Corvina Sea Bass with an herb crust and it was divine. Crispy crust with a moist perfectly cooked interior. My friend had the Seared Diver Scallops and they were very tasty as well. Plus as I was making... More

I live in SD and have been wanting to go to the Bali Hai for years, so when we got tickets to Humphrey's we decided it would be the perfect spot for drinks and food before the show since it's within walking distance. I love anything with a Polynesian theme and based on the pictures, I thought this would be... More

Bali Hai has got a tiki wow factor you must experience. The cocktails were potent, the view of downtown San Diego fabulous, the food fresh and tasty and the ambience fun and festive. The restaurant features tikis, maps of the South Pacific, blowfish lanterns, all will make a great setting for your next Aloha Friday (or Monday for that matter).

I was with the daughter, son in law and the two grandchildren. The restaurant setting was beautiful; located in Shelter Island right on the water. The views were stunning. The menu offered many options and I choose the fish tacos which were delicious. The kids split popcorn chicken and french fries which were also delicious. My son in law had... More

We stayed on Shelter Island a few years ago and missed this restaurant but not this time. Absolutely awesome experience. I would suggest making reservations because after 5:00 it seems to fill up quickly. Our waiter was a real gem, Knowledgeable and we appreciated his suggestions. This restaurant was sort of on the nice side . I was skeptical bring... More

The view from their outdoor veranda was excellent the bay was full of boats and the food tasty too. My date and I decided the outdoor veranda was a better bet for a nice quiet location for romantic chatting and kissing. Wow! It was my dream come true. I will make it a point to return there for more of... More
