My family and I were in San Diego on vacation and wanted some good Italian food for lunch. We picked Bencotto Italian Kitchen and they didn't disappoint. My daughter and I had the Polpette and Riso Fritto appetizers, along with a main course of Ravioli Granchio which were all outstanding. My husband order the Insalata Cesare Salad with shrimp which... Nice restaurant in a very busy location. Parking can be a pain, but they offer valet. The food is excellent. The PROSCIUTTO SAN DANIELE was excellent, slice thinner than paper and so delicious and salty. Large portions, great to share. GNOCCHI VERDI wtih pancotto sauce was good to share as appetizers but may be a bit too rich for an... More

My wife and I were in San Diego on for business and some fun.. We decided to go check out an Italian restaurant in Little Italy. I got on Trip Advisor to see what others had recommended. We chose Bencotto. I liked their menu options. We were not dissapointed!! The staff was friendly, the restaurant was clean. The wine list... More

My wife and I went here on a trip to San Diego earlier this year. The food was great and the atmosphere was perfect for a date. We would definitely go back next time we are in San Diego.

My chicken meal was very good but my husband's lasagne was disappointingly dry and boring. Overpriced food and drink.

Having had beer and appetizers during Happy Hour at the nearby Hotel Vyvant, perhaps it was a mistake to eat dinner only a few hours later at Bencotto Italian Kitchen. I wasn't really hungry, and didn't finish my plate, which is unusual for me. That being said, what I did have at Bencotto was delicious. I started out with a... More

Everything here was amazing! We loved the bread and oil, our eggplant parmesean appetizer, and our meals! They make their own pasta on site, and everything was perfect!

Had dinner at the bar of Bencotto last night. Cesar salad was perfect and I'm picky about Cesars. Cold, crisp lettuce, real parm, home-made croutons with a hit of oregano. Very tasty. Also had the braised beef which was very good, although needed a bit of salt. My friend's meal also needed salt. Olive oil, balsamic and bread were top... More

So good. So so good. Freshly made pasta. Great appetizers. Trendy and upscale feel, yet cozy. Great dinner date spot. Only regret is that I forgot my leftovers in the hotel mini fridge. :(
