On behalf of our family and staff, we welcome you to Brian's 24! We know you have a lot of choices when deciding where to eat and we're so glad that you chose our restaurant. Aside from the big bar and even bigger food, our place has a story…all great places have a story. This story starts in 2008 when a father (Steve) and a son (Brian) began a drive around the Gaslamp Quarter in search of their next family business venture. Being San Diego natives, Steve and Brian knew exactly what Downtown was missing, an all-hours restaurant where you could get good comfort food any time, day or night. Having come from a family of foodies and restaurateurs, and with Brian himself having spent time in the restaurant industry in Las Vegas, both Steve and Brian were ready for something fun, exciting and in the heart of their hometown. From the moment they stepped in to the restaurant off the lobby of the historic St. James Hotel, they knew they had found the spot. With its grand, hand-crafted mahogany bar (obtained from actress Joan Crawford's estate), beautiful crystal chandelier and tin ceiling, the place really had a warm feeling and a great personality. Fast-forward to today, and the family business is still going strong. After Steve's passing in 2010, the business now has more family members sharing in this labor of love, with Ida (mom), Andrea and Robin (two of Brian's four sisters) standing next to Brian at the helm. Our mission is simple - family, comfort food and anything you want, any time you want it.

Yum!

Thank God for this place. I ate in here for breakfast everyday for a whole week whilst in San Diego. Cheap food, good food and great service! Loads of choice of what to choose, and I am sure if you chose some of their breakfast options you would t need to eat for a week! Very generous! What more... read more

We stayed at the Ramada Inn so this was super convenient for us to stop by for a meal no matter the time of day/night. Their menu is so huge that you may have a hard time deciding. Portions for breakfast are massive in my opinion, but the price is good.

I visited Brians 24 to shoot footage before the renovations begin (4-14-15) One of the owners, Andrea, was very nice and I look forward to seeing the upgrades. I decided to have a bite and oh my, it was such a huge menu. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner entrees 24 hours a day - now that's awesome. You can't... More

Don't miss breakfast at Brian's indoor or outdoor seating. Excellent service, friendly staff. Our server was happy to spend time helping us navigate a walk, and bus ride through the city. The food was served promptly, tasted delicious and not overly seasoned. Great value.

We got to San Diego a bit late and needed to eat. Our hotel suggested Brian 24/7 and we a certainly glad they did. Brian's is small with a beautiful old bar and an interesting atmosphere. The menu offers breakfast anytime as well as fantastic choices for lunch and dinner. The portions are large and I am sure you will... More

LOVED this place - thought their menu was amazing, and it tasted as great as it looked. I had the Waffle Cristo which is apparently new on the menu so I went for it. Glad I did, with warm maple syrup it was delectable. Was there with three others - all were very happy with their meals: Machaca Frittata (although... More

Historical restaurant, from the handcrafted mahogany bar (where Joan Crawford used to dance on top of... you can still see the hill marks on bar)...menu has a ton of options...PB&J with morning coffee! For those who prefer vegan options, while they make no claim to make vegan food, they go all the way to accommodate you! Chilaquiles (hold cheese and... More

I attended a convention in San Diego and had scoped out the breakfast places online before I arrived. The online menu at Brian's 24 looked great, and the place was just about halfway between my hotel and the convention center. I went to Brian's 24 for two of the three breakfasts on my trip. I walked in and seated myself... More
