Description: On behalf of our family and staff, we welcome you to Brian's 24! We know you have a lot of choices when deciding where to eat and we're so glad that you chose our restaurant. Aside from the big bar and even bigger food, our place has a story…all great places have a story. This story starts in 2008 when a father (Steve) and a son (Brian) began a drive around the Gaslamp Quarter in search of their next family business venture. Being San Diego natives, Steve and Brian knew exactly what Downtown was missing, an all-hours restaurant where you could get good comfort food any time, day or night. Having come from a family of foodies and restaurateurs, and with Brian himself having spent time in the restaurant industry in Las Vegas, both Steve and Brian were ready for something fun, exciting and in the heart of their hometown. From the moment they stepped in to the restaurant off the lobby of the historic St. James Hotel, they knew they had found the spot. With its grand, hand-crafted mahogany bar (obtained from actress Joan Crawford's estate), beautiful crystal chandelier and tin ceiling, the place really had a warm feeling and a great personality. Fast-forward to today, and the family business is still going strong. After Steve's passing in 2010, the business now has more family members sharing in this labor of love, with Ida (mom), Andrea and Robin (two of Brian's four sisters) standing next to Brian at the helm. Our mission is simple - family, comfort food and anything you want, any time you want it.

We had such a great time and the food was exceptional that we wish we lived much closer to frequent Brian's 24 often. The personnel made you feel very welcomed and made sure you were not disappointed in any way with being at their restaurant.

Hubby and I ate here before shopping at Horton Plaza and both plates were missing the mark for freshness. He had a scramble which was ok but potatoes were barely warm and tasted old. I had the chicken and waffle. Waffle was crisp and tender but the chicken tasted as if it had been fried earlier and reheated. One piece... More

Brian's 24 is a restaurant open 24 hours so you can go anytime. We happened to go for breakfast. Be prepared. If your hungry they have a massive breakfast burrito. Fortunately, my wife and I decided to start slowly and thought we would order the burrito and split it and wait to see if we were hungry after we got... More

This is a 24 hour restaurant located in the lobby area of The Historic St. James Hotel (where we stayed). The food is dependable (we ended up eating here twice) even when the place is packed (on our 2nd visit). Ask for Mauricio if you like being served by a fun waiter!?

We had breakfast here this morning. Eggs, bacon, pancakes, hash browns, the works. Without a doubt the best breakfast I ever had, and a lot of it. Service is extremely friendly. Can't wait for breakfast tomorrow.

We visited Brian's on our first morning in San Diego and then came every morning after. Amazing breakfasts that will keep you full all day. The atmosphere here is great and the service is good too. Just get here early - queues are long!

Excellent Cafe for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We had Breakfast here 2 days and were thoroughly impressed. Large portions, good price & quick service gave it 5 gold stars. Quick on the complimentary refills & food never greasy. 5+++

The staff - fantastic. The food - fantastic. The choices of beverages, places to sit, meals to enjoy - fantastic! We ate here because it was close to a mall we were meeting someone at, and it was within walking distance to a hair salon (we are not from the area). We sat outside originally (there was limited seating indoors... More

We are here 3 times for breakfast, it was near our hotel and it was worth it. If you walk past you might think a bar but once inside more like a diner. Service was the best that we had while visiting San Diego. The food was great, service great each time and delivery of food extremely fast even with... More

If you want a bite at any time of the day, then this is the place. The food is good and a very large menu means that most in your party will be happy. Brian's offers a full bar and outdoor seating.
