Description: On behalf of our family and staff, we welcome you to Brian's 24! We know you have a lot of choices when deciding where to eat and we're so glad that you chose our restaurant. Aside from the big bar and even bigger food, our place has a story…all great places have a story. This story starts in 2008 when a father (Steve) and a son (Brian) began a drive around the Gaslamp Quarter in search of their next family business venture. Being San Diego natives, Steve and Brian knew exactly what Downtown was missing, an all-hours restaurant where you could get good comfort food any time, day or night. Having come from a family of foodies and restaurateurs, and with Brian himself having spent time in the restaurant industry in Las Vegas, both Steve and Brian were ready for something fun, exciting and in the heart of their hometown. From the moment they stepped in to the restaurant off the lobby of the historic St. James Hotel, they knew they had found the spot. With its grand, hand-crafted mahogany bar (obtained from actress Joan Crawford's estate), beautiful crystal chandelier and tin ceiling, the place really had a warm feeling and a great personality. Fast-forward to today, and the family business is still going strong. After Steve's passing in 2010, the business now has more family members sharing in this labor of love, with Ida (mom), Andrea and Robin (two of Brian's four sisters) standing next to Brian at the helm. Our mission is simple - family, comfort food and anything you want, any time you want it.

Very average food, short walk from hotel and the only place open on a Friday morning for breakfast aside from Starbucks...

Good, large American Breakfast in Gaslamp, a little pricey, did not seem to be many places for a regular breakfast.

Attending a conference and wanted a different place for breakfast besides the hotel. Around 6 am, I guess people still out from the night before. They were still drinking alcohol. We ordered biscuts and gravy with side of bacon. This was massive. Lots of food. The gravy was different more brown. Not a fan of it. My husband ordere pancakes.... More

My wife and I ate here on several occasions during our 7 days in San Diego. The menu was very diverse and the food was good. We ate outside most of the time as it was warm enough. We did eat in a few times and did not find it to loud and the music was a mix and good.... More

We went for breakfast, delicious sounding options, large portions. Everyone at our table loved what they got. We didn't have one but the Bloody Mary looked incredible. I am sure the other meals don't disappoint!

Its a quaint breakfast place (actually it has all day food) on 6th next to the Ramada Gaslamp. You will not leave this place hungry. Beware - they charge $3.49 for a regular coffee. Its bottomless, but they need to make money somehow I guess.

Coming from the UK this place gives a good all around insight in to American eating! The menu is varied and offers great choices and the expected massive portions. We went for breakfast and struggled to clear our plates... and then didnt eat again until dinner time (and we are big eaters!). The service aimed to please and swapped out... More

After a night out, or a quick American meal, this is ideal. Located in the heart if downtown. Very close to a parking structure. The food was great, fresh and the coffee was fresh. The pancakes were made from scratch. This restaurant also has liquor, you can't go wrong. Great for getting to get her with friends.

Stumbled across this as we were staying in the hotel opposite. It became our first choice for breakfast in our 4 day stay. The locals eat here which is a good sign. Homely atmosphere great, friendly and atentative service. Food freshly prepared with good ingredients. We saw deliveries every day. The menu is extensive and probably the best breakfast options...
