I was looking for a place to have breakfast and the Mission came up tops on numerous searches. After eating here I can see why it's so popular! My husband and I both ordered pancakes. He had the blueberry, I had strawberry banana. The portions are huge! We easily could have shared one order. The pancakes are stacked three high... More

This little restaurant is full of big flavors! Excellent dishes at reasonable prices. My co-workers and I frequent this place often!

We looked on Trip Advisor to find unique places to eat while in San Diego. The Mission fit the bill. The reviews didn't steer us wrong. The portions were very large, the service was good, and it wasn't so quiet that you would feel wierd with kids. In fact, the atmosphere is quite casual. Indoor and outdoor seating was available.... They had a great gluten free menu for my G-free sister...and I LOVED the roast beef hash. The rosemary bread was DELISH, and the whole meal was enjoyable. It's a bit crowded in there, so the atmosphere is loud, but the food was great.

While visiting our daughter in San Diego, she suggested The Mission for Brunch since it was only a short walk from her law school. What a find! The restaurant is located off the beaten path on a side street near Thomas Jefferson Law School and the new Public Library. When you walk into the restaurant, the atmosphere is casual, with... More

We stopped here early Sunday morning, no wait, enjoyed a great breakfast outdoors and will definitely come back! Much nicer environment than some of the other breakfast places downtown, and the coffee was really good!

Went there on a Sunday for brunch. There was a line outside the door and we were put on the waiting list, told to stay close by (we were in the way doing that) and would be seated in a few minutes. Probably no more than 10 minute wait for our table. We were seated in a very busy part... More

As per the title of this review :D The french toast is the staple of this restaurant and you cannot go to San Diego without enjoying such an american classic! The only issue I had was finding a parking spot and waiting for a table because this place is always so busy :P

Sunday morning in San Diego, we decided to walk about a mile to try this neighborhood restaurant in an old house. There was a long wait time when we arrived, but when we got a table, the service and food were worth every minute. The coffee and tea offerings are extensive, we had the house coffee. Fresh squeezed orange juice,... More
