This has become my go to place for a quick meal before a show at the Civic Theatre. With a nice selection of meals you can choose a salad sandwich or platter. The food is always fresh and good. Last night I wasn't very hungry so I had a daily special of figs with arugula and procuitto it was wonderful... More

Let's start with a disclaimer. We had the Donut Bar for breakfast. And after that we really needed to redeem ourselves. We stumbled upon Tender Greens and it was everything we wanted. Farm fresh greens of every imaginable combination. The dressings were light and flavorful. Delicious salads and great lemonade too.

Really great menu with fresh, healthy selections. Though everything is prepared quickly, everything tastes just made. Prices are reasonable, around $12 for an entree to start, but I didn't find the portions of protein to be huge. They also have seasonal and locally sourced sides, charcuterie and cheeses. Good lunch pick.

BACKYARD MARINATED STEAK and SALT AND PEPPER CHICKEN with ROMAINE HEARTS are my favorites from this place. Friendly service and this place is always busy. I cannot wait to come back and try new stuff from their menu.

This was the first time we went to this restaurant. It is sort of like a cafeteria, but you order in front, and then see the food being put together in the line. You pay the the end of the line. Looking at the food is mostly to see how they do it, not really a pick and choose kind... More

I ordered the Mediterranean Spinach salad to go. All the salads are $11.50. I was disappointed to find my $11.50 salad consisted of two cups of spinach (and NOT organic, mind you), maybe half of a tomato cut up into three pieces, an ounce of goat cheese, about eight of the smallest kalamata olives I have ever seen, and dressing.... This is my favorite place in San Diego. When you walk in the noise level can be kinda loud sometimes, which I really like, it has a family-community feel to it. After ordering, you walk past a glassed in counter where you can see your meal being prepared. Their salads are fresh and flavorful. I always order the bbq chicken... More

I ate here for three nights while attending a nearby conference. The steak hot plate was good, with mash and hazelnut salad. The specials are tasty and worth a look. The only meal I was disappointed with was the salt and pepper chicken, which looked so juicy, but was a bit dry. The beer isn't great. Service is good and... More

The special, braised rabbit leg was delicious but the small serving of vegetables was overpriced. In addition, half of them were cold.

We don't have fast food healthy restaurants in Florida. This place would be a regular for us if it was close! There were so many choices and most all of them were organic or prepared healthy. And flourless desserts were a bonus! It was great to be able to walk in and eat in a few minutes without waiting for... More
