Fresh, local foods in a creative menu. My grilled potabello with fresh mozzarella and basil on a freshly baked whole grain roll. Bring your appetite, and come early, as the line forms quickly after noontime.

My husband and I stumbled upon this restaurant by accident. We walked past it on the way to the Gaslamp Quarter. We continued on and checked out several other restaurants. All were noisy, touristy and expensive. So we turned around and walked back to Tender Greens. Best decision we could have made! The food was amazing. This restaurant proves that... More

Honestly, if not dragged in by friends I would have never gone into a place named "Tender Greens". Too hippy, too green, too... well you know. But, you can go in and get good steak and potatoes. A little bit high but not outrageous. This is not encouragement to go in, but more a note to the other "men" out... More

This restaurant is what every city needs. The location in Liberty Station was a great find for us as we walked around the area from our hotel. Fresh veggies and healthy protein choices were delicious. My only disappointment was in ordering the Grilled and Roasted Vegetables Big Plate. With the name, I expected twice the veggies, but the dish was... More

Had a great meal here: Simple, well cooked food with an emphasis on healthy eating and knowing the provenance of the food. A simple formula of good quality salads, 'hotplates' and desserts for both veggies and carnivores. We had the (medium rare) 'Backyard marinated beef', mashed potato, baby spinach leaves with hazelnuts and goats cheese, ciabatta, a carafe of riesling... More

Lately it seems this sort of place has become the holy grail of restaurants for my wife and me - fresh ingredients, locally sourced, simply prepared, stylishly presented. In this case, that means counter service, gorgeous salads, fresh tasty soup, craft beers and wine selections, and a handsome modern setting to dine in. All this for less that $50 for... More

Gourmet fast food is a good descriptor for this bistro. Health food with a zap. The place is full of energy. A very chic place perfect for food lovers who pay attention to quality and price. Why doesn't the metropolis of my abode have a Tender Greens?

I love the food at Tender Greens. It's one of my favorite lunch spots. The salads and soups are delicious. I also really enjoy the hot plates and desserts. I like that they get as much food locally and organically as possible. Great food!

Tender greens is a very popular restaurant chain. They serve fresh salad with grilled chicken, fish or steak. I had their chicken rice soup which was great. I also like their mussels when they have it. Highly recommended for a good fat meal
