I was so disappointed with this place. I read the reviews and decided to go here for dinner with a group of 3 friends. We are from out of town so we asked our waiter for suggestions. One of us asked for chicken dish and honestly it was not eatable. It was so thick and cooked without anything making it... More

Artichokes marinated in garlic and olive oil. FRESH Italian bread with hard crust and chewy center. All main entrées were large portions. I had braised lamb with wide fettucine noodles in red sauce. ..succulent! You need a box to take home what you can't finish and a slow walk back to the hotel to appreciate the great service and food.... More

I visited this restaurant on a Wednesday evening when staying close by and after reading the excellent reviews on TA. I actually passed a buzzing Italian restaurant, Old Venice Italian, but kept walking towards Pomodoro as I was keen to try a venue with such excellent reviews. I was met by un-inviting waiters to a café that had only two... More

Will definitely come back! Cozy Italian restaurant in the Point Loma area of San Diego, southwest of the airport in a nice neighborhood of shops and restaurants. Good service, friendly staff, and great food. Everything was fresh and well done. The grilled calamari was good and the linguini di mare was excellent. Good wine selection. I was there on business... Beautiful setting for a great dinner!. My son raved about this place and with good reason...service, food (I had gnocchi), ambiance, all were the greatest. My son talked about moving into the apartments nearby so he could eat here every day.

If you're looking for a fancy-shmancy, 30 dollar a plate "dining experience", this is not the place. However, if you are looking for a funky little place with great Italian food, look no further. We had Veal Parmesan an Pasta Primavera, both excellent. Large portions, perfectly prepared. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive (though the Italian accents were... More

Outstanding Italian. Wonderful service. Dined twice in one week. Will return again. Try the chocolate bread pudding; its out of this world.

Fourth time eating there, we are from New York and always eat there when we are in San Diego. The food is great and so is the price. The Oso Bucco is to die for.
