This restaurant had been highly recommended by a friend who had dined there are on numerous occasions. Five of us, each with five different dishes could not have been more pleased. Extraordinary barely covers our enthusiasm. I've never had such well prepared and executed Italian dishes in my life. . . and I'm old. . .and I'm a foodie!

We had a very nice dinner at the Pom Doro Restaurant and loved our food. I had the black risotto and Tiramisu as desert. It was great and we will be back if we are in the area again.

A friend and I stopped in for lunch, we happened by Pomodoro while out for a walk. We ordered the Burata appetizer and split an order of the Ravioli stuffed with mushrooms in a cream sauce. WOW! It was seriously some of the best food I have had, so delicious, We ordered a lovely orange flavored pastry dessert as well.... More

Happened upon this restaurant on a walk around where we were staying after spending the morning at Cabrillo. Go there! The food is so well prepared and tasty that you can't go wrong. Even went there a second time before leaving.

We went there to celebrate our wedding anniversary and the meal was awesome. We totally enjoyed the atmosphere, and the service went great also! Would heartily recommend this restaurant to all!! The chicken breast had a super taste to it!

I was so disappointed with this place. I read the reviews and decided to go here for dinner with a group of 3 friends. We are from out of town so we asked our waiter for suggestions. One of us asked for chicken dish and honestly it was not eatable. It was so thick and cooked without anything making it... More

Artichokes marinated in garlic and olive oil. FRESH Italian bread with hard crust and chewy center. All main entrées were large portions. I had braised lamb with wide fettucine noodles in red sauce. ..succulent! You need a box to take home what you can't finish and a slow walk back to the hotel to appreciate the great service and food.... More

I visited this restaurant on a Wednesday evening when staying close by and after reading the excellent reviews on TA. I actually passed a buzzing Italian restaurant, Old Venice Italian, but kept walking towards Pomodoro as I was keen to try a venue with such excellent reviews. I was met by un-inviting waiters to a café that had only two... More

Will definitely come back! Cozy Italian restaurant in the Point Loma area of San Diego, southwest of the airport in a nice neighborhood of shops and restaurants. Good service, friendly staff, and great food. Everything was fresh and well done. The grilled calamari was good and the linguini di mare was excellent. Good wine selection. I was there on business...
