My girlfriend and I decided to give Amaya a try during the San Diego Restaurant Week. That is a time when we dine out more than usual, and try to discover new restaurants to add to our favorites list. Amaya did not make the list, by the way. I might as well get that out in the open right away.... More

The Amaya is our go to place for special occasions. Graduation days, birthdays, etc. I love that I don't have to pay for valet parking. I also love the grandiose decor. It can be overwhelming which is why we frequent the place only for special occasions. The staff is always very friendly. They great the kids when its their birthday... More

Decent selection on the menu, top quality food. For those expecting a buffet, that might be available only on the brunch menu during the weekends.

Bowl of soup was $9. But if you have deep pockets and price is no object...well, then price is... More

Had a wonderful dinner last night at Amaya. Great menu, food, service and atmosphere. We enjoyed a quiet walk around resort after dinner. Great place for a special occasion.

We were visiting San Diego and found Amaya on the list of most romantic restaurants, so we put on the GPS, and drove out of the downtown area to the beautiful gated resort. The restaurant was fabulous, we sat outside overlooking the courtyard. The service was formal but very friendly. We shared an amazing grilled pear salad, which they split... More
