We were there in a group of 6. The food was great, but took forever to get to the table. Same thing happened with dessert and when we check out. Comparing it with same level restaurants at the area, I will rather stay with others.

The setting of Amaya at The Grand del Mar is exquisite. It is a setting that makes you feel as though you are in one of the grand palatial hotels in Europe. I have been for lunch many times and it never disappoints. This time we took a guest for breakfast and sat on the outdoor patio. Truly lovely. And... More

Good food and good wine list. Menu is a little limited but what they do have was great. Went their for breakfast and dinner a few times.

I must say I am surprised by all the 5 star reviews of this restaurant. Here is how my experience went. We are staying at the hotel and showed up day 1 for breakfast and waited about 20 minutes for a table outside, apparently reservations are recommended which I didn't know about. The service was very good, very prompt and... More

We visited Amaya at The Grand Del Mar the evening of June 20th for our 8th year wedding anniversary and I would say it was one of the most beautiful locations we've eaten in quite awhile - the dining area is in a setting that affords a beautiful view of one of the many luxurious garden areas of the Grand... The outdoor seating was perfect in the early evening. We made reservations the same day and were able to get in without any problems. parking was complimentary valet. Real mediterranean cuisine. We ordered prime rib, sea bass and lobster bisque. I enjoyed a really good late' while we waited for our food. I would say the setting, the food, the... More

My wife and I didn't want to go back into town for dinner so we went to Amaya's. I was worried about the pricing but after our meal, the quality was worth it. I had the salmon and my wife had the ribeye. Both were cooked perfectly and were very tasty. The views were magnificent as well. We would recommend... More

Food was really good. Our server needed to be more attentive. The restaurant was slow and our glasses went empty a couple of times. The flat bread appetizer was awesome. Seared sea bass was light and tasty.
