Catalan-Style Shrimp!

During our stay at The Grand Del Mar, my husband and I enjoyed dinner on the patio at Amaya. As an appetizer, we shared the Catalan-Style Shrimp, which was incredible! We loved the food at Amaya. We had a "vegetable risotto" with mushrooms and white asparagus that was marvelous. We also had (we switch plates half way) lamb prepared two ways, with various tasty iterations of eggplant, fennel, garbanzo panisse, and yoghurt. Amazing flavors. That said, there were issues. I had checked the menu on Amaya's website that morning, and... More

Very relaxing style. The food was very good. The waiter we had was the best I have ever experienced. There wasn't a thing he didn't know about the menu and presented it in a very captivating style. Also suggested variations of what was on the menu. He made a good dinner great.

Rainbow trout and short ribs were on the afternoon menu at Amaya when we visited. Both were excellent. The short rib dish was a standout. Al fresco dining on the patio at happy hour couldn't have been better.

Romantic dining room with excellent service. Strong wine offering to pair with the chef's creations. Quiet and a pleasant view of the gardens added to the wonderful experience

We were a party of 4 on a Friday night, and the restaurant was not full. I have eaten here several times in the past, in the Camron Woods era, but that night the food was not at the same high level. Some dishes were excellent, but others missed the mark. Yes, you should take note that the verve, creativity,... More

We have been to Addison for many wonderful meals so we cautiously, decided to bring the family here for belated Christmas dinner. I say cautiously, because my in-laws are what I would call "super-foodies" (my brother loves food so much he has paid to have a fun day in the kitchen with a Top Chef) UGH - well; Service -... More

We came here three times on our stay at the grand del mar. We had a "bar dinner" a breakfast and a normal dinner. The bar dinner was perfect sliders a bread and meat platter and cocktails. Breakfast was just heaven and dinner was amazing although we didn't manage to finish our entrees after our appetizer. While it is expensive... More

Loved the vegetable risotto, sea bass and duo of beef. Staff was very attentive and great at providing us with quick service as we had two little ones. Can't wait to return!
