When you eat here, you have a fabulous view of the grounds and part of the golf course. The food was very good and the service was superb.

The staff at Amaya are top notch with great attitudes and amazing service. The food was tasteful without being "too much".

Pancakes and Eggs Benedict were the best thing on the menu. Although, everything else that I tried on their breakfast menu was good too. Don't try to remember your waiter's name because there will be multiple people taking care of you throughout the meal.

Great setting, filling breakfast. I had the Juevos Rancheros which happens to come with 2 strips of thick bacon. a taste of my wife. I also had a bite of my wife's Eggs Benedict, with the ham having this smoky flavor. As always at the Grand, the service was impeccable and it was all reasonably priced given where you're at.

Ate here with colleagues in March 2015. The catalan style shrimp was in no way Catalan style, but was wonderful. The grilled pork chop was also wonderful. Wines by the glass were excellent and the Armagnac we had after dinner near the fire was the best I have ever tasted. Amaya is not to be missed in Del Mar.

During our stay at The Grand Del Mar, my husband and I enjoyed dinner on the patio at Amaya. As an appetizer, we shared the Catalan-Style Shrimp, which was incredible! Several shrimp came in a bowl of spicy broth with bread for dipping. AMAZING! It was so good that I do not even remember what else we ordered now, a... More

We loved the food at Amaya. We had a "vegetable risotto" with mushrooms and white asparagus that was marvelous. We also had (we switch plates half way) lamb prepared two ways, with various tasty iterations of eggplant, fennel, garbanzo panisse, and yoghurt. Amazing flavors. That said, there were issues. I had checked the menu on Amaya's website that morning, and... More

Very relaxing style. The food was very good. The waiter we had was the best I have ever experienced. There wasn't a thing he didn't know about the menu and presented it in a very captivating style. Also suggested variations of what was on the menu. He made a good dinner great.

Rainbow trout and short ribs were on the afternoon menu at Amaya when we visited. Both were excellent. The short rib dish was a standout. Al fresco dining on the patio at happy hour couldn't have been better.
