This place looks like a garage from the outside but is always hopping with good adult crowd. Pizza is great and the staff is awesome... very cool hangout for locals 21 and up and a great way to meet people in the area. Very close to Petco park and good place to be any night of the week.

Basic has seperate restaurant and bar spaces , with the latter having a very big airy area. Everyone in our group of 12 enjoyed the pizza. I certainly wouldn't call the pizza "basic." And the interior is much more trendy than "basic." Not a lot of variety options on the menu but there was enough variety to please everyone in our group. They have the largest pizzas I've seen. It's thin so you can eat several slices.

Read all the great reviews so decided to have dinner while I was on business in SD. Food was amazing! "Small" pizza was far from small even though the staff tried to convince me it is "a thin crust" & you can do it.........couldn't do it. Very tasty. Highly recommend! Bon appetite!
