Made a reservation for my daughter's Birthday,; we were seated promptly, our waiter was charming and attentive. We ordered lobster bisque, beef bourguignon, and mushroom ravioli with ratatouille. The flavors were exceptional. Extensive wine list and muddled cocktails. Dessert was chocolate mousse encased in a chocolate shell, delightfully delicious! I have already recommended this resturant to friends. I'll be going... More

Six of us came here for Easter lunch. We all ordered different entree's. (Steak, chicken, eggs benedict, ravioli, lamb chops and salmon). We all enjoyed our appetizers, entree's and yummy desserts. Our server, Dusty, was absolutely fantastic and attentive- couldn't have asked for more. She swapped out empty drink glasses, checked on us regularly, simply made for an overall wonderful... More

The food is okay, good really. Not worth the price. But you can see how the place is second rate and on its way down hill. Nice little wine bar. There are just too many good restaurants in SD to go to this one for anything but a drink and then only if it is convenient.

We treated great friends to dinner on Valentine's evening. We were seated and then it took almost 30 minutes to get menus. When we arrived, the table was set for two people - we were four. Three times we asked for silverware, napkins, and bread plates for the other two people but didn't get them until food arrived. We were... More

The atmosphere is pleasant but it doesn't hold up. Very frustrating slow service at a work lunch- an hour and a half. Request was ignored. One order was incorrect. The kitchen then prepared the dish but very poorly. This restaurant could very easily improve all these shortcomings.

I did not eat in the main dining room, but the cozy bar is great for appetizers and drinks. Wine list by the glass is unremarkable , but still decent. Appetizers are really good, smallish, but reasonably priced and a good place to stop pre or post theatre, symphony or just for drinks and a snack. The fried artichoke hearts are... More

My wife and I went there with some friends to try out their Restaurant Week menu. The food most definitely did not disappoint. Amazing in all regards. Their wine selection is ok by the glass, their bottle selection quite a bit better. They have a new parking garage which is nice for that area of town. The service for us... More

Slipped into Hexagone for an impromptu lunch with a friend on a weekday. The place was far from full with just a handful of tables in use and maybe that should have told us something. The gentleman who greeted us with a smile was pleasantly friendly and seated us right away, but unfortunately, he wasn’t our waiter. No - we... More

There is nothing better than spending a special occasion with friends. It is my birthday, so I selected this nice and cozy restaurant near Balboa Park to celebrate. We were a party of 6 and had a very nice table in the center of the restaurant. We perused the dinner menu after ordering our drinks. Our waiter was very friendly,... More
