The reviews are spot on. If you go there on most nights, you will find long lines (but they go fast), and there always seems to be seating available once you order. The prices are high--but the quality is excellent. everyone loves beautiful desserts. You will pay it--and you will be happy to do so.

Desert speciality place, popular late night place, slightly out of city centre but worth a cab ride. An american take on desserts maybe too big and too sweet for some, but so much better than the dessert fair found in other restaurants around the city. With a really interesting wine and beer list, great choices available to complement any dessert.... More

The first thing you need to know is that there is usually a long wait unless you pick a time of the day when they're not likely to be busy but even if you have to wait, it's well worth it. I think this place will be added to my rituals on San Diego visits. In addition of their to... More

I have waited years to go to this place after seeing one of their cakes at a party. So this year I decided my birthday dessert of choice would be Extraordinary. Well, sort of. We got here about 7:30 on a Saturday night and the line of people waiting was already 30+ people. Thankfully, we had already eaten dinner and... More

PROS ~Fun place for a light snack meal (salad, cheese & bread, bruschetta, etc.) or just a dessert and drink. ~Quality food. ~Attentive service. ~Modern decor -- concrete floors, tea-light candles, Buddha and lotus flower motifs. ~Exterior seating with heat-lamps available. ~Ideal for a date night, couples, friend gatherings, birthdays, etc. ~Beautiful glass display of cakes and desserts when you... Similar to the other location, these are very pricey desserts but the flavors, decorations, combinations are fantastic. This location has a seating area which does serve savory dishes. We went after dinner and it was so crowded and the wait list was so long that we ended up ordering for take-out. The waiting area is beautiful and has a lot... More

Not only the tastiest and most beautifully decorated desserts ever (adorned with real rose petals-- organically grown, no less!), but the paninis (smoked salmon, goat cheese, turkey were all great) and salads were also terrific. The decor was hip/industrial, with lots of candles in the evening. There is a small outdoor space as well. WIne and beer selection was great.

Dined here twice. The strawberry shortcake is to die for, everything looks incredibly mouthwatering delicious. I also had the raspberry coffee cake. It's hard to make a decision! The French pressed coffee was great. They also have a cute little gift shop up front. Be prepared to wait for a table!
