A group of us visited Boomerangs for dinner. I was excited as my boss said this place has great burgers! I will say the burger was o.k. But there was too many other distractors that dimmed my view and I will probably not return. From the beginning to the end the staff seemed overwhelmed and disorganized, nice enough and all... More

They call it the "Bad Breath Burger": Black angus beef stuffed with bleu cheese crumbles, onions and roasted red peppers. Topped with grilled fresh mushrooms. Pretty darn good, though they could've smashed the patty flatter so that it covered the entire diameter of the bun(see photo). I got the $10 Burger Week deal with garlicfries and a cold pint of... I've been at Boomerangs a couple times within the last year, but the most recent visit was with a couple of friends and my partner. We all unanimously agreed that the burgers were exceptional, and that the hosts were top-notch. My food came out in a timely manner and just the way I wanted it, and both our hosts were... More

We recently revisited this place. Still great food. Drinks were not quite as good as in the past. They were a little short handed, but thought under the circumstances he did a great job. One couple in our party of eight was not as happy. They didn't get their food in time, and was extremely unhappy about it. The waiter... More

Eight of us joined just one other party of 2 in the bar/restaurant about 1 p.m. We ordered 8 drinks & 2 Calamari and waited. And waited. Finally the 5 alcoholic drinks arrived and we waited some more. The bartender ran downstairs with 3 glasses (to make our smoothies, I guess) and was gone a very long time. When he... More

I was there recently with a group of friends, about 13 of us, with a reservation made in advance. I was the first to arrive, a few minutes early. They had the tables put together for our group, and when I arrived one of the servers set out menus for everyone. Our group came in little by little, and as... More

great concept of building your own burger from size to toppings/mix-ins, cheeses, sides. And the best part is the scale of rare to well done, they grind the fresh meat so no risk compared to the places that buy the ground meat in big bags. E coli infests meat.that has been ground for a while - thus most burger places... More

If you want a great hamburger this is the best place in all of San Diego . We've been to the all the "best burger" places, Burger Lounge, Waterfront, Tioli's Crazee Burger,Rocky's Crown Point, Johnny B's but I'll tell you Boomerang's surpasses all of them. Why? 1/3, 1/2 3/4 or even 1lb patties! (ask) They use fresh ground Angus Beef... More
