Attractive restaurant in a fun area

This is a busy but attractive restaurant in a great part of the Gas Lamp district of San Diego. We attended in the aftermath of the St Patrick's day celebrations, but it was still busy and reservations appear essential. Lots of different beers on tap and good wine selection. Oysters were fine... read more

With all the restaurants in San Diego this one just failed to impress me. The service was adequate but, for some reason, the server gave off a strange vibe - kind of mocking in a way. The atmosphere and decor are nice. The food was good but extremely pricey and we were glad we really weren't that hungry when we... More

I came in for a cocktail, but the menu looked great so I stayed for dinner. I started with the lobster tempura which was excellent. I had the Cioppino for dinner and was highly impressed. This is one of my favorite seafood dishes and I order it often. It had an excellent flavor with the perfect amount of spice. The... More

Fresh Maine lobster prepared flawlessly. Would highly recommend if your in love with the sweet taste of fresh lobster like I am. I had a crab stuffed lobster 2.5 pounds and I could not stop smiling.

What a great dinner we had at Osetra! Highly recommend their King Crab Linguine. Very generous portion and very flavorful. Beautiful wine angels getting wine for you, it's a must see! We will definitely return soon to try some more items.

On business trip, I sat at the bar for a glass of wine and dinner. The sushi roll was underwhelming as the tempura was luke warm. My salad was nothing special. Glad I didn't go for a full scale entree. Something tells me I would have spent a lot more $$ and still been disappointed.

We enjoyed super tasty food, great and welcoming atmosphere! Thank you very much for your excellent and service. People who are serving create most of impression. And your people have great personalities. They are serving with perfection but they are not servants.

I brought 7 business colleagues to Osetra for dinner last night. It was horrible. The place was earsplittingly loud, so we couldn't talk. The tables were jammed so close together that the waitstaff couldn't even refill our glasses without us passing them to the end of the table. The waiter was relentlessly trying to push the bill higher. And this... More

The is in the gas light district - which is very nice to walk around before or after dinner. The food here was very good but the service very slow and it was on New Years Day and the place was empty. Maybe everyone was hung over from working late the night before...lol The White Prawns were amazing! The sparking... More
