I was here for an event so my group had the top floor of the restaurant. I enjoyed the lobster bisque, filet and chocolate mousse. The food was delicious as was the wine/champagne. The restaurant boats "wine fairies" that will travel up this giant wine tower to get your wines for you. Sadly I only saw one of the girls... More

I always ask what fish is fresh caught and that's what I got the other evening. I thought it was very good. Plus the atmosphere and service were both terrific. I asked to change our table and they accommodated that and a menu change with grace. Since it went on our expense report I can't really comment on the value.

First thing is the most recent reviews aren't greet, ignore them! I fame here with friends and must say it was fantastic! It is a lovely restaurant, I'm of the opinion America don't do 'fine dining that well' (my opinion, not that of the UK's). But this restaurant had great meat and seafood options! I had the 'white prawns'. King... More

Oysters were good but not great. Shucking was sub par and shell particles throughout. Entree's the couple with us had extremely overcooked. Lobster, Fish , and steak all were wrong. The only thing positive I can say, is food looked very good on plate. All of this for $215. WOW what a disappointment. Won't be back.

Oestra is a big place, but most tables are empty. This should have been my first sign, but I thought 7 pm was too early for the place to crows up. It's now 8:22 and the place is mostly empty. My wife and I started with calamari/shrimp, crab cake, and mushroom soup. The calamari/ shrimp were good, and the cream... More

I ate in one of the large rooms upstairs. The menu only contained a few items for the occasion. Appetizers were served family style. The tuna roll was excellent as were the fried shrimp. Next came a great garden salad - the dressing was very good and the greens were fresh and flavorful. My enter was the salmon with spinach... More

Popped in for Happy Hour. Was a little leery of the seafood quality when we were seated and noticed the bar table seats were in dire need of reupholstering/replacement. After a chat with the bartending and manager they assured us the restaurant was planning a major overhaul, but the seafood was fresh and high quality, we decided to settle in... More

I came here one night with a customer after a work conference thinking this would be a good seafood place in San Diego but I was wrong. Everyone at our table (5) was very dissatisfied with the food they received. People had lobster, steak, lamb and fish but no one enjoyed any of it. One of my co-workers even got... More

We stayed in San Diego gaslamp distrikt for some days and visited Osetra the first day. All of us ate fish as was delicious and also the wine. We were so satisfied so we revisited Osetra our last evening, and ate lobster - fantastic - and HUGE!! The service was also good so we can absolutely recommend this restaurant!

Visited Osetra for my birthday. It did not disappoint. The salmon and risotto was excellent, as was the organic greens salad. Good selection of menu items. Decent wine list. Everything overpriced but that's expected in the Gaslamp area. Service attentive and unobtrusive. Nice atmosphere. Really nice meal! Park at Horton Plaza for 3 hours free with validation from mall.
