Eh.

On business trip, I sat at the bar for a glass of wine and dinner. The sushi roll was underwhelming as the tempura was luke warm. My salad was nothing special. Glad I didn't go for a full scale entree. Something tells me I would have spent a lot more $$ and still been disappointed.

This is a busy but attractive restaurant in a great part of the Gas Lamp district of San Diego. We attended in the aftermath of the St Patrick's day celebrations, but it was still busy and reservations appear essential. Lots of different beers on tap and good wine selection. Oysters were fine, though was a little disappointed with my 'Special'... More

We enjoyed super tasty food, great and welcoming atmosphere! Thank you very much for your excellent and service. People who are serving create most of impression. And your people have great personalities. They are serving with perfection but they are not servants.

I brought 7 business colleagues to Osetra for dinner last night. It was horrible. The place was earsplittingly loud, so we couldn't talk. The tables were jammed so close together that the waitstaff couldn't even refill our glasses without us passing them to the end of the table. The waiter was relentlessly trying to push the bill higher. And this... More

The is in the gas light district - which is very nice to walk around before or after dinner. The food here was very good but the service very slow and it was on New Years Day and the place was empty. Maybe everyone was hung over from working late the night before...lol The White Prawns were amazing! The sparking... More

Waiter seemed to prejudge that two petite females in their 50's wouldn't spend much and treated us accordingly. Food was just okay. I'm sure other places in the vicinity would have been better and would have been more gracious. Would not go back.

Osetra is more than just a "fish house". We munched on appys for a greater taste variety. They were delicious! Try the Crab Stack (the name's a guess here) along with a glass of sauvignon blanc - you won't be disappointed. The location is perfect for Gaslamp exploring or going to the symphony (a 10 minute walk). Parking, however, IS... More

Food was excellent and the wine well matched. The waiters were very nice and professional helping out in every way possible. The food is priced on the high end. I had a lobster pasta without checking the price first... But, it was delicious.

The gas lamp district is starting to feel like one big touristy bar scene. A lot of the restaurant hostesses try to lure you inside like walking in South Beach for example. So we were pleasantly surprised to find Osetra. A sleek, elegant yet comfortable feeling inside. I recommend sitting inside just for atmosphere and a view of the wine... More
