We were in town for 6 days visiting our Marine and had 1 lunch, 1 afternoon killing time and 1 dinner there. The day bartender had lots of great tips about the Padres.. If you go to the game what to do whre to sit etc. The staff is very friendly and the food was good.

If you crave Irish cuisine, and you are in San Diego, Callahan's is the place. There corned beef and cabbage was very good, and they have many other Irish dishes. Their microbrewed beers do not rise to the same level, except the IPA. The Blueberry wheat had no blueberry flavor, most of the other beers were average at best….but go... More

We sat on the patio and had to ask for service. This was one place which boasted a dog friendly location, yet we had to ask for water for our dogs. We spend more money than we expected for a pub. We were visiting with a local friend while visiting. We didn't feel like guests. We felt like we were... More

We have been eyeing this place for a while but, we were never in the area when we would remember to swing by. I will from now on. We came Sunday aaround 11:00A and the place was already full. Football was on all the TV's, they must have a dozen or so. Our waitress, Erika, was very personable and quick... More

Great food! I love the corn beef and cabbage. Their grasshopper pie is to die for! I could eat the whole slice by myself. :) there are tvs all over to watch sports. Arcade games and everyone is friendly because lots of locals go here to eat. They have wing night where it's usually busy but worth the wait. :)

The food was good, the beer was excellent (try the sampler) and the atmosphere was exactly what we expected. It's a PUB! There are TVs everywhere with every game on (the night we went there was soccer, softball, baseball & basketball). Little noisy which was just fine. Our party had 10 of us that included a couple of kids and... More

I was in the Mira Mesa area and decided to stop in at Callahans around 6 pm. Usually I am happy with the service, food, drink and atmosphere, but not this time. The service was on the lower end of acceptable in terms of speed. But the main problem was that the canned country western music (in an Irish bar)... More

After a few visits, I'm done trying to find anything interesting on the menu...it's pub grub. BUT, the beers are great & there are tons of TVs for viewing the game.

I went to Callahan's last week. I had a French dip and the price was $9-10 and was enjoyable. They have some microbrews on tap. I enjoyed the IPA. Very good. They do a good business, provide good service, good food, and have good beer. A nice place to have lunch.

It is really nice to have this place in mira mesa. The beers are fresh and very tasty. Potent too! The food is very good and reasonably priced. Avoid the crowds on wednesday nights unless you absolutely require super cheap buffalo wings. Stop by and patronize one of the few pkaces in mira mesa where you can get a fresh... More
