Your plate is your table, your silverware are your hands, your table cloth is a piece of paper and they serve you in plastic bags, and yet, probably the best you can get for crab and shrimp. Also, very affordable. Don't forget to ask for some gloves to avoid smelly hands for a couple of days and for a bucket... More

The food is great, prices are awesome, fairly decent service, WHAT ELSE CAN I ASK FOR???? This is my shortest review ever, but there is not much else to say, quit reading the reviews, call your friends and go there. Now!

We took photos of each other wearing splatter-guard bibs and enjoyed huge portions, good food, and pretty good service considering how busy it was. Tables are bunched up and it got super busy (TIP - be early - we were by accident but lucky we were). A great crab experience.

Tried this spot during Restaurant Week which featured a $10 lunch special. Location is on the edge of Gaslamp District where it gets a bit marginal - thankful that I was there during the day. Tried to order lighter selections since I had dinner plans later. Generous salad as first course; almost ordered the clams with linguine as the second... More

This place is amazing. As an OC-er who has experienced the boom of these Vietnamese/Creole places in OC, Crab Hut is a standout. First good sign, we rolled up at 6pm on a Sunday and we were seated right away, no huge ridiculous wait. Our waitress was really good and knowledgeable. We ordered the $55 feast that included everything: snow... More

My favorite- a pound of shrimp, full house flavor and half medium in spice ( which is pretty spicy). Order a side of white rice. Then pour the sauce on it! If you don't want your hands to smell like garlic for two days, ask for some gloves. I like both locations in San Diego. Less wait downtown though, but... More

From the time we entered to whe we left, the service was impeccable. The food was wonderful and the server was absolutely the best ever. My husband and I were there for my conference in August and decided to experience San Diego's seafood delights. We hit the spot and found the Crqb Hut. We had shrimps, craw fish and mussells....
