The large pizzas for appetizers were very good. The lasgna and pasta dinner was very tasty. The staff was very attentive. I would go back everytime I visit San Diego.

You walk in the door and are greeted with a crowded, run down little place that has clearly seen better days. You'll notice the diners look happy though and its got a decent amount of patrons and decide its worth a try. Despite the flies and crowded seating you won't be disappointed as long as you are not in a... More

Wow, you see the price of a giant slice of pizza around $7-8 and you hope that you're getting your money's worth. You definitely get it at Luigi's! The giant slice was about the size of my daughter's head (she's 7). The Salmon on Ciabatta was very delicious and they make a cool and refreshing margarita. Perfect place to stop... More

We recently went to San Diego, staying at Mission Beach, and although not inundated with lots of choice for restaurants, it does have Luigi's; a characterful, friendly, lively and tasty choice for dining. If we had stayed longer I dare say we would have ended up there on a regular basis, more than just the two occasions we went. The... More

We ordered over the phone and picked up because we knew it would be busy-- and it was! This place is popular! We each had a meatball sub and our four yr old had chicken strips-- crunchy yet moist! And the subs were really good. Just what we needed! Not fancy, just good food!

Whenever we are in San Diego we always go to Luigi's at the Beach for pizza. We actually went twice while we were in town this past weekend. The service is great, the atmosphere is fun and the pizza is the best ever. We have never had a bad experience.

Luigis has a great menu, that includes sandwiches and hamburgers, pasta, pizza, and calzones. They have unusual combinations like "Pete's Spicy Sweet - Hawaiin, tuscan, breakfat (no ricotta cheese) or THE FOOTBALL - a specialty calzone of sausage, pepperoni, canadian bacon and mushroom. We got "White Out" - extra virgin olive oil, garlic sauce, topped with Mozzarella, Ricotta & Gouda... More

Right at Mission Beach, good pizza, really good service at lunchtime, went twice on our families week-long beach vacation. Will be back!

Arrived at hotel and wanted to walk for something to eat. All pretty grim to be honest and there are plenty of worse places i'm sure but frankly driving to something half decent would have been better.

We ate here twice for lunch on our way home from the beach. First time we got a huge slice which was delicious. Second time we ordered a large pizza and it was not as good as the slice. Dough tasted a little different for some reason. A good casual spot to stop in for a slice.
