I used to eat here fairly often, but havent been back since moving back to Topeka a few years ago. I used to LOVE the food and service here (especially the fresh baked goodies). Went in around 5 on a Wednesday (fairly early), maybe half a dozen tables taken. Took forever to get seated as there seemed to be only... More

Annie's is the restaurant where I would take my Mother and Mother in law on special occasions or just to meet with them for a meal. It is also a "sure thing" for a business lunch if you don't want to worry about the quality of the food or menu choices. They do one of the best jobs at presenting... More

I particularly like the grilled chicken sandwich and especially the sauce that comes with it. The hamburgers are legendary. Annie's has consistently good food but the interior of the restaurant seems to have gone downhill and is now dark an not inviting. That negatively impacts the dining experience.

I haven't been to this place for 10 years, but when the wait at our first choice was too long we ended up here. Big mistake!! Service was just okay but the food was way way way overpriced and bad. My husband ordered the $9 fruit plate, which he will never live down, it consisted of approximately 6 -7 pieces... More

I've been several times with friends and with family! Annie's has a great breakfast! French toast made with homemade cinnamon rolls! YUM! And the biscuits are homemade with made from scratch gravy! Saturday and Sunday mornings!

We love going to this restaurant on Thursdays because their daily special is bierocks. Yum! It's about the only place you can buy it in town. All of the breads and desserts are made fresh in house, and eating here is always a treat. Ask to sit in Julie's section as she is, by far, the best waitress. Other wait... More

When we travel we like to try places that we don't have at home. So we tried Annie's for breakfast. Don't waste your time or money. I'm pretty sure an omlette should be cooked all the way thru and that pancakes shouldn't have a "twang" to them. The hashbrowns were still cold in the middle. We won't be back.

If we go to Annie's we always ask each other, "Are you feeling lucky?" That's because occasionally they slip back into the old days ( a few years ago) of terrible service. You take the chance of waiting forever for service, food, the ticket, etc. But I have to admit it's always worth it. They have the best hamburgers in... More

I was in Topeka for business this week and the vendor I was visiting took our group to lunch at Annie's. It's a casual restaurant. The atmosphere was not great, but the smell of fresh-baked items from the bakery was heavenly. Everyone in our group really enjoyed the food. I had the black bean burger, which was excellent. Our waitress... More

My husband and I recently went here with our two kids, and first sign we should have noticed is we were quite possibly the only diners under the age of 70. Service was extremely slow and they weren't busy at all. Food was terrible. Nothing had any flavor, it reminded me of nursing home food. No salt, pepper, any seasonings... More
