We stopped by here from seeing the reviews on TA and found it to be wonderful food. Nice little diner with home cooked food. Had the Reuben and onion rings. My fiancé had the double cheese burger and fries and said it was really good. Reasonable priced too.

A good place for basic menu items and good prices. This is not an upscale burger joint, but there definately is a place for this type of restaurant in the market. We just went there for the first time in December 2013 and got just what we expected. We ordered the patty melt (very good) and meatloaf (good, but basic).... More

We had heard this was a great place for breakfast. First is was very cold in the dining area. The menu is on the wall which is OK and they really had a great selection. Very good prices as well. You have to go up to the counter to order and then go get your own silver and syrup etc.... More

After hearing how great the food was, I finally stopped in. We were there after the lunch crowd on a Saturday afternoon so it was not really busy. It is a small little place tucked along the busy Gage Blvd. I finally settled on trying just a burger and fries. All I can say is...yummy!! It was an actual real... More

We had seen so many commercials on the local TV stations advertising Cook's American Grill and wanted to try it out. The food and portions looked amazing on TV.....However.....not so much in person. My wife ordered onion rings at $2.49 and got a total of 5 onion rings, one about as big around as a baseball and the other four... More

For the past two years, an executive committee that I serve on meets for breakfast monthly and we were eating at a downtown mainstay because of proximity to our offices. On my recommendation, as the result of a very good breakfast at Cooks, we now are meeting here monthly. I've had everything from the sausage burrito special of the morning... More

You have to love this kind of place. Small and friendly. The menu and furniture hasn't changed in a loooong time but if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Good for a quick meal at just about any time. Trivia cards at the tables to keep you entertained during the wait. Always a good idea.

We were going to Topeka to watch the Agility Trials for German Shepherds so checked TA for some places to eat in the area. I liked the review we saw for this place, so we ventured out to find it and it was an excellent choice. I had a Turkey Reuben (my favorite) and a cup of Potato Soup and... More

This is a favorite eatery for our family. My husband can't get enough of the wonderful cheeseburgers, but for me, it's the Reuben. That sandwich is worth a drive... The restaurant is low key and comfortable and Other menu items, including a selection of desserts, are equally great.
