one of the few choices downtown

Family was visiting and we wanted to have lunch before a tour of the statehouse. The choices in downtown Topeka are few and far between. We ate at the Celtic Fox. It was adequate. They have a menu with some traditional Irish dishes.

Nice Irish pub type setting and located close to the capital building. The soup of the day was hearty, but the fish and chips meal was disappointing - soggy fries and greasy fish. The service was friendly, but slow.

The Celtic Fox has a nice menu selection and the food is good, pricing is right. Close to downtown with an outdoor eating area.

Service and food are always great. Neat atmosphere, irish type bar and grill. Call ahead and make reservations. They do have a special daily.

Very Very Good. Best Phliadelpia Sandwich with Gravy Dip I have ever had. We had a big group. Very accomodating for large group. Everyone from our group was very happy with their selections from the menu. Drinks were kept in front of you.

My coworkers Raved about the place because it was so wonderful I only went there for a meal and don't drink alcohol Therefore I wasn't totally impressed the chicken was covered and Rosemary or something and the green beans were disgusting but my friend likes to go there and drink and apparently they have the best alcohol around it was... What a great place. We had been to the Capitol and wanted to walk somewhere for lunch. So glad that the people we asked recommended the Celtic Fox. Great sandwiches, cold beer and wonderful service. The portions are BIG and very tasty. We will definitely return the next time we are in Topeka.

We got there around 12:30. Seated eventually. It was obvious most of the people were there for business lunches. The place absolutely died at 1:00pm. We placed the order and waited.... and waited.... and waited. 20 minutes later, the waitress tells us the order got lost and they are just starting to make it. Another 10 minutes and our three... In a good test of standard pub fare we had fish and chips, and bangers and mashed with a Guinness. Everything was pretty good. The fish was quite good and the Guinness was perfect. The server we had was really attentive and friendly, without being overbearing. We finished our visit outside with our drinks on the patio, which is quite... More

Tried to take my son, who loves his Irish heritage, to eat at The Celtic Fox...looked online for hours for Saturday...found website that listed 11am as opening time. Got there, paid parking meter, excited to eat & check out an Irish Pub....CLOSED. They do not open until 12pm on Saturdays. Bummed out!!! It looked cool....too bad.
