I've eaten at Romies Grocery twice. The first time I was underwhelmed by the service, but last night I tried it a second time and it was horrible. Th staff was friendly and our waitress kept the glasses full, however our food took over 45 mins to get to us, probably a full hour. I had to ask our waitress... More

This is one hidden treasure that it will pay you to find. The best food available in north Mississippi. Their main course is always excellent and the desserts are unbelievable. If you ever make it to Tupelo, MS you have to try Romie's. The owners are wonderful people and they really do treat you like family.

I love Romie's plate lunches. Great variety and you must try the fried cornbread. For dinner, the parking lot is always packed. You can't go wrong at Romie's.

Stumbled upon Romie's our last day in Tupelo, and if it had happened earlier, I would have weighed more when I got home. Super friendly, welcoming kind of place with reasonable prices and daily plate lunch specials. We all went with the Friday special of catfish, with a variety of sides. I had lima beans, cabbage & fried green tomatoes.... More

My wife and I enjoyed dinner at this unique restaurant, we ate in the covered outside area, and enjoyed a nice fireplace and then a live band after dinner. It has a very "locals" feel to it, nothing fancy, in fact, quite the opposite, which makes it a fun experience. Menu is clever and simple, and the food is very... More

My two recommendations for Romies are the fried green tomatoes ~ best ever and the barbecue egg rolls. I must admit I was skeptical about the egg rolls and I so glad I tried them: they were delicious. Southern down home restaurant with good food and good service.

I recently visited Romie's and enjoyed the Meat and Three lunch special. For $8 you get a good portion of meat (Pulled Pork for me) and a excellent selection of sides (Purple Hulled Peas, Green Beans, and Cole Slaw were my choices out of the 12 offered) plus a roll or cornbread (Johnny Cake style). The pork was very good... More

You will not go wrong eating here. Food is outstanding. Especially the Romie Sauce. I had the best ribeye and topped it off with the Romie Sauce. Make you hurt yourself. Only negative was our waitress had to come back twice to tell us they did not have a particular item tonight. I look forward to my next visit
