You will not go wrong eating here. Food is outstanding. Especially the Romie Sauce. I had the best ribeye and topped it off with the Romie Sauce. Make you hurt yourself. Only negative was our waitress had to come back twice to tell us they did not have a particular item tonight. I look forward to my next visit

Been here a few times and the lunch specials are very good- they give you way more food than one person needs but it's got a good home cooking flavor. Priced reasonably and a nice change for the usual chain restaurants. And yes the fried green tomatoes are great!

Great southern food in a down home atmosphere. Fried Green Tomatoes were great! I asked to sample the Pimento Cheese, I was very good....but not as good as mine! Lol!!! Great service, great food, great atmosphere at a great price!!

Southern hospitality and cooking at it's best! The entire waitstaff made us feel at home and the cooking was to die for. Beware, extra large portions for the price. Mammoth Mozarella Bites, a plate full of the crispiest, most tender chicken. And a lemon crunch that will knock your socks off!

Grocery converted to a diner. If you like southern meat & 3's you will be right at home. Be warned, lots of fried foods but it is artery clogging good.

Food was phenomenal. Great prices. Service a bit slow at times but good over all. We are on the patio I had the pulled pork sandwich- great flavor and moist, hubby had sausage and cheese plate, very filling - friends had chicken salad it was a huge portion and very tasty

Guess she just wasn't interested. She could have... More

What a surprise! Romie's is not a grocery, but Tupelo's hidden treasure. For a dining pleasure, set your GPS and go prospecting. Romie's is pure gold.

Romie's Grocery does not pretend to be something that it is not. What it is: Southern comfort food - well prepared, reasonably priced, solid service and operated by fine folks that appreciate the patronage. Pass the sweet tea, please.

What a unique place! Especially for a northern yankee. It may say grocery but it is like eating in someones kitchen. Random tables & table wear. Very clean and everyone there was wonderful. The price you can not beat, but go hungry.
