We cam through to see some of the Elvis stuff and then move on to Memphis. I saw this and as a lark thought why not. I was not dissappointed. The diner really hasn't changed much from when Elvis was here. There are photos of Elvis sitting at one of the booths, and its not hard to figure out which... More

Stopped here because of the BBQ sign out front. Didn't realize it was connected to Elvis until inside. Our waitress was so kind and friendly; explaining the menu and what food they were locally known for. The BBQ was good. As we were leaving the hubby wanted a photo of the "Elvis Booth" Our waitress came up and invited us... More

We asked the lady at Elvis' Birthplace Tupelo where we should go to lunch and she suggested Johnnie's. We were so lucky to sit in the Elvis Booth. The waitress with the dark brown ponytail was so helpful. She explained the menu and even suggested we split the dough burger so we could try it. It was delicious as was... More

Having just driven from Orlando to visit Graceland, we took the 5 minute diversion to see the Kings birthplace in Tupelo. Needing to rest we decided on the little wooden building on the opposite side of the street for a break. It boasts to be the oldest eaterie in Tupelo and to be honest it looked it, but we wanted... Johnnies has been in Tupelo for many years, including Elvis' time. Small but very friendly and everyone wants to sit in the Elvis booth (you know it's true as there is a photo of a young elvis eating there). Food was good. A great piece of Americana.

Been going here since I was a little girl and I love it! If you're passing by, this is a MUST! Very friendly staff, and food is cheap. You can even order from a carhop if you're busy and can't dine-in. One of my favorite restaurants.

Sat in the booth Elvis sat in. Menu has not changed since Elvis was there. Inside is the same too. There apple pie was great and as the whole town they are friendly and kind.

We arrived in Tupelo a little after 1:00 in the afternoon. We chose Johnnie’s Drive-Inn as our lunch spot. The place has been around a while - I did not find out just how long, but long enough for it to have served Elvis Presley during his early years. In fact they proudly point to the Elvis connection with pictures... More

Stopped in to check out place. Parking lot very tight and confusing because you can order from a carhops. Went inside and food was fair. Bathroom was tiny, outside and used by men and women. Felt like a dirty closet.

My husband & I both had the cheeseburger plate, I had onion rings with coleslaw, my husband had the fries. I also had the chocolate milk shake! Omg ! They couldn't have been any friendlier except for picking up our check. I asked the waitress what she recommended? She asked how hungry were we? Best burger we've had in a... More
