Twelve friends and I ate here on a crowded Thursday for lunch. We each had different meals; cheeseburgers, hamburger steak, vegetable plate and salads. It was all homemade and the servings were huge. Our server was so sweet. We quickly got our food and the the place was packed. A few of us had room for the delicious banana bread... More

Best hamburger and catfish nachos around. Independently owned and a hidden gem in an unassuming alley. Daily lunch specials. A favorite of the locals.

Whenever I am in Mississippi, I crave the fried pickles. The first time I ate at this place I didn't like the place because the band was loud and bad. Eating outside, you get to enjoy the good food and company. For a bar/restaurant, I do not understand why they have a single toilet batroom; it makes no sense at... More

We had good service, very generous portions, and very good food. Unfortunately, we just heard the other day that they have new management and new kitchen people so I don't know if the food and service will be as good as it was.

Forced to eat there since nothing else was open downtown, my ears are still ringing three weeks later from the cacophony of noise. This was the loudest restaurant bar I've ever had to endure. We were asked to move our table three times in order to accommodate a group that added extra tables for a birthday party. There was no... More

Sunday brunch with bloody marys made by Drew - nothing can compare. Consistent food over the years that make it a familiar go-to place. My favorite french fries in Tupelo. Catfish nachos - YUM. Nice to walk in and staff know you and speak. That makes me want to always return.

Good food, good service, and a good time was to be had here. Very busy at lunch time, but service was excellent and the Cuban sandwich was outstanding.

My family and I met a friend for lunch and we were lucky to get a seat. Small restaurant/bar with a cool atmosphere. Pastrami and Swiss, Philly Cheese, and Stable burger were all good. Oh...loaded cheese fries a solid choice as well. We would like to come back for evening drinks sometime. I think this place is a can't miss... More

Prices are ok but the place is pretty boring and the staff is rude unless you're a twenty some odd year old guy. Get rid of some of the help and you could have a great establishment again.

The Stables. is the place to go for Saturday Brunch to meet your friends and have the best bloody mary and mimosa and for the very low price of $2.50 Breakfast specials for $6.50. Also voted the Best hamburger in town. It has great atmosphere. It used to be the old livery stable in town and has some old memorabilia.... More
