Good local lunch

Nice hole in the wall spot. Very casual with three big screens. Busy lunch crowd, every seat full. Good Ribeye.

This place is a favorite hang-out for locals. However, I have found that it is too crowded and noisy. Almost every time I have been here it has a band playing in the very small interior. The food can be really great or just average. Most people here are probably drinking and having a great time doing it.

The food is fantastic and both that and drinks are reasonably priced. The chicken tenders are great, and the steak was surprisingly good. The owner was also very accommodating in letting our group play live music in the bar. Don't let the back alley facade fool you, its a cozy little place!

Brunch here is the bees-kneez! It a great atmosphere to hang with friends, or just to enjoy a meal. The loaded fries, catfish nachos and shrimp po-boy are just a few of the menu items you should definitely try!

I found this place while I was walking around downtown. A home-cooked meal at a fair price. It even came with a free dessert. Lots of locals in for lunch so you know it is good.

This was quite a buzzing place for a Friday afternoon. Didn't have food, but the service for drinks was very good. Lots of choice.

Twelve friends and I ate here on a crowded Thursday for lunch. We each had different meals; cheeseburgers, hamburger steak, vegetable plate and salads. It was all homemade and the servings were huge. Our server was so sweet. We quickly got our food and the the place was packed. A few of us had room for the delicious banana bread... More

Best hamburger and catfish nachos around. Independently owned and a hidden gem in an unassuming alley. Daily lunch specials. A favorite of the locals.

Whenever I am in Mississippi, I crave the fried pickles. The first time I ate at this place I didn't like the place because the band was loud and bad. Eating outside, you get to enjoy the good food and company. For a bar/restaurant, I do not understand why they have a single toilet batroom; it makes no sense at... More

We had good service, very generous portions, and very good food. Unfortunately, we just heard the other day that they have new management and new kitchen people so I don't know if the food and service will be as good as it was.
