Tasty Turkish food

Have been for lunch and dinner. Unpretentious place on the T, nice Turkish dishes. Cold appetizer tray a good way to test out five appetizers, very tasty. Lamb kofte excellent, not super spicy. Sultan's delight with chicken a bit disappointing.

Group of 4 arrived on a Monday night armed with our bottle of wine and a Groupon to give Saray a try. Apparently there are "changes" in the works with their liquor license because it's no longer BYOB. So perhaps this disappointment clouded our meal... but the food was frankly bland and boring - not what we've come to know... More

We went to saray restaurant and had a lovely experience. Service was great.. We had the Lamb sish kabops and sea bass ... The fish was fresh and made perfectly and the lamb was delicious... Highly recommend ...

Highlights: the Mediterranean salad - super fresh and loaded with great veggies. Dressing nice and light And the lamb kabob very tasty ( the one with lg pieces). The grape leaves were nothing special. I like mine with lemon sauce. The Gyro meal was bland. I had to order a side of Tzieki(yogurt cucumber sauce) for $3.99 to make it... More

I ate here at least once a month for a long time. I thought BYOB was great. Who wants to pay twice amount for restaurant prices? Favorites: Iskender Kabab and Grilled Mix Chicken Desert: Kazandibi

Seriously my fave Resturant right now. First the staff is always super friendly, they always happily answer all my questions. I regularly stop in and grab the cold mixed appitizer and lentil soup to go. As a vegetarian I have a lot of options. When I dine in I will get the zucchini cakes or literally the best falafel I've... More

This place usually has a Groupon or a Yelp deal. The food is yummy. Nice vegetarian options. I love the falafel here, even though falafal isn't Turkish. Easy to get to, right on the T.

Everything was great I really enjoyed it, the chicken was incredibly flavorful and tender. This is one of my favorite restaurants.

Since I am Turkish myself, I can tell you this food was worse than average. The cigar borek was nice and crisp, but the flavor was off. The acili ezme (spicy spread) was a dull brown color, not the color of fresh tomatoes and peppers. The hunker begendi (lamb over pureed eggplant) was lacking the right texture and spices, and...
