Nice place, close to the Arnold Arboretum

Nice family lunch after a visit to the Arnold Arboretum! Good sandwiches, fine service, enjoyable meal. Several options in the area if it is too crowded. Note that Real Deal has two locations in the area, this is the one closer to the Arboretum, on Centre Street. Not a fancy place by any stretch... read more

Saw this place on tv. Figured it was worth a shot. I am glad I watch TV! I had the grown up grilled cheese! It is now my favorite sandwich! My son had the clogger! Biggest steak sub with bacon and cheese I have ever seen! We got buffalo tenders to go for later. They were awesome. My only complaint... More

We heard about the Angry Roast Beef sandwich on Phantom Gourmet and decided to try it. We were very disappointed with the sandwich, because it is small, not very flavorful, and comes on a refrigerated sesame and poppy seed bun that was gross (in my opinion, poppy seeds are a very subjective taste and I wish I had known they... Saw reviews, hard to find since map function picks up wrong sections of Centre St. & two locations are on same streets in different towns. Great selection of burgers & sandwichs. Sides aren't shown on menu board My Reuben was very good. Seating is Spartan. Try desert at bakery next door

Just good food. I first visited with a group, and we all got different sandwiches to try. All the sandwiches were fine, but the burger was the real standout. We didn't try the pizza, but I can highly recommend the burgers.

I'll make this one short and sweet. Parked in a space on the street. Entered and was met by a huge menu that was up on the wall. Best part is they explain what is in each sandwich. I'm boring so I got a large steak and cheese with bacon. The bread was fresh and not crunchy, I hate it... More

Is pretty good. They have a great variety to choose from with pizza, sandwiches, salads and other semi-random things like hot dogs and burgers. The prices are reasonable, the service is quick, and pleasant. Whenever we are passing through this neighborhood, we know this is a reliable place we can stop for a decent meal.

I have gotten takeout from this restaurant several times over the past few months. Their sandwiches are huge and excellent. In addition, their slice selection for pizzas are always decent (5-8 varieties with simple to complex options) and very cheap. The only downside is that the people taking the orders sometimes act like customers are a nuisance and they tend... More

Ah, the Real Deal. This place is a favorite of mine, whether eating there or ordering in. Their portion sizes are huge, so order a large with caution. The Uncle Junior is my favorite sandwich. My friends love their salads as well. The Real Deal is delicious and affordable, a wonderful place to grab some lunch or dinner.

We've eaten at the Jamaica Plain location a few times and have brought friends here as well. Not a fancy place (it's a pizzeria!) and the bathroom is so-so but the food is great. We always order the Classico veggie and at $17 for an 18" pizza, it is a real deal. The thin crust was crispy and the cheese/veggies... More
