Excellent steakat commensurate price but uneven service

Morton's chain has built their reputation on high quality steaks and our recent dinner at their Boston location did nothing to dispel that belief. The first Morton's we dined at was in Denver a number of years ago and the prices has gone up considerably since then. The steaks themselves are prime... read more

I love the shrimp cocktail and the bar atmosphere but there is something just lacking and I am not sure what it is. The rib eye just doesn't have the flavor of some of the other steak houses.

Food is delicious, very well presented, and delivered by a very kind, attentive staff. Ambiance is great, very beautiful and classically decorated. Portions are a little smaller than I would have liked and pricey.

We had drinks, appetizers, and desert. It was New Years Eve so the whole experience probably would be different on a normal night. The lava cake was very good and a large portion. We will try it again to get the real feel.

We went here at the request of one of our group. 14 people for lunch. I got the Steak Salad. It took an average for the group to be served, even though we were practically the only people in the restaurant. The food was ok, but I didn't think it was as amazing as we had been led to believe.... More

We enjoyed a dinner here with a large party (16 people). We had two designated servers, and several other people who rotated through to help serve us. The pros: Portions here are large for pretty much everything. We enjoyed both the hot and cold seafood appetizer platters, and the prosciutto platter at well. Several people ordered soups and/or salad. And... More

My wife and I celebrated a milestone birthday here. What a great choice we made. From beginning to end the experience was beyond words. Reservations were easy to make, and helpful suggestions were given for prime seating. Upon arrival, we were treated like royalty. Everyone we came into contact with was very professional and accommodating. And, the food- simply put,... More

The Boston Morton's offered pretty much all you'd expect from a high-end steakhouse - excellent food and service, extensive wine list, and sophisticated ambiance. When you go to a high-end steakhouse, you know it's going to be an expensive evening and Morton's certainly meets that expectation too!

We went here as a prty of four three of whom ordered steak, two ordered medium/well the third ordered medium. All the steaks arrived very well done and dried out. When we mentioned this to our waiter his demeanour went from warm and friendly to cool and indifferent. The bill was almost $400 for four entrees and two coffees. I... More

This steakhouse ranks up there with Abe & Louis, Ruth's Chris and Capital Grill. Perfect place to entertain your clients. Love the Filet Mignon & Porterhouse Steak.

Staying in Seaport District / South Boston Waterfront

Neighborhood Profile
Seaport District / South Boston Waterfront
This area has been expanding and becoming more and more popular, for good reason. Not surprisingly, the seaport district of South Boston is located beautifully along the water. The area is designed for easy strolling along the HarborWalk, and there are bars and restaurants for all ages and budgets. The Institute of Contemporary Art is located in this area in a contemporary building with an absolutely stunning deck overlooking the water. In the summer time there are Friday music concerts on the deck of the museum. Nearby, there are many green spaces to enjoy.
