Monster Sandwich

This place gets packed for lunch and there is a reason why! Food is great, atmosphere is lively. It can get a little annoying because of the crowd. But the food is excellent. Second visit, I'll be back!

Love this sandwich place, great for lunch & great for (very) basic catering! Nice variety, decent desert selections, good sandwich platter options for groups, delivery's pretty much always on time, very conveniently located in Downtown Boston (off of Bromfield Street, somewhat hidden). -1 star: sandwiches are $10-11 each (slightly overpriced for just a sandwich), but if you have it, it’s... I had the Pastrami and Corned Beef Combo. The flavors of this sandwich are absolutely amazing. The meats melt in your mouth. The russian dressing gives it a good kick, and the slaw gives it a nice crunch. You can really taste all of the flavors working together. This is definitely one of the best sandwiches I have ever had.... More

We were walking around Boston and we stumbled across this place only to tell our friends who are locals who raced down from their building to join us. Evidently there is usally a huge line and we caught it right before the lunch rush. The sandwiches were huge enough that we all only were able to eat half and then... More

Delicious, huge sandwiches from breakfast to late lunch. Whats important open from 11-ish to 3 pm closed on Sundays!! check the opening times. The only disappointment is that its closed on Sundays - but i guess everyone needs a rest.

I've not actually eaten in the location, only to order for a business meeting multiple times. The sandwiches are large, lots of flavor and good bread. However, a lot are a bit greasy, so it wasn't a more healthy option. Still, it's a better than average sandwich shop, and if I were opting for this in the area, I would... More

My wife and I were on vacation in Boston and had to try this place. We saw it on the food networks DDD( Diners Drive Ins and Dives). The place is a little difficult to find because its tucked away on a side street but a few nice Bostonians directed us right to the place. I had a cornbeef and... More

We were walking the Freedom Trail, and had just started, when the teens in our group started objecting to further travel without some fuel. We used the TripAdvisor Boston CityGuide to see what restaurants might be located nearby and lo and behold, we found we were just about 400 feet from the top-rated restaurant in Boston--Sam LaGrassa's! What could we... More

Sometimes I wish I worked downtown so that I could eat at Sam LaGrassa's regularly. My favorite sandwich (so far) is the chipotle pastrami. But there are so many different sandwiches to try. The prices are a little bit high, but I usually split one with a friend which makes it a good deal. The biggest disadvantage is that the... More

When checking the rankings for the best restaurants of Boston, I was surprised to see that the most appreciated eating place offered mostly sandwiches, French fries and Coca Cola. Most importantly, I wouldn't call it a restaurant, because not every model on every runway is a Top Model. I was curious and went to try this place. Don't go there... More
