Before the Celtic's game

We went here walking to TD Garden from our hotel, it looked warm and easy going. We had some food which was pretty good, loads of it and a couple of drinks. Not too expensive and plenty of tv screens for all the games. Would visit again

Noisy but great. Shared the duck / fillet steak burger, easily enough for two. They had live music and approximately 16 screens of sport on, plus various beers to try. As in every bar / restaurant we stopped in whilst in Boston as soon as you mention you are from the UK everyone is really helpful, worth a visit.

It looked welcoming, so we chose to eat here. Atmosphere was great! My wife had a salad which was huge and tasted just perfect. I had a good Burger but not the best. It was a special and just did not meet my style. But a standard Burger will be very good here! I would recommend this place to my... More

My friends and I were looking for a quick place to stop and have lunch and thought this looked nice from the outside. Small bar-type atmosphere. Wait staff was courteous without being pushy. The turkey club was good. My friend also liked the lobster roll. Would absolutely go there again.

Friendly service. Good turkey club, French dip and burgers. Fish tacos were excellent and fresh! Great beers on tap.

Named after the First inhabitant of Boston this little pub steps away from Faneuil Hall on Union Street is right on the Freedom Trail. Nice place to take a break from touring around and didn't seem to overrun with tourists. Service and food was good, no complaints.

I generally research restaurants ahead of time, so I know what I am getting myself into. Blackstone Grill happened to be by chance, as we were planning on having lunch in quincy market, but it was so packed, that we decided to just start walking. Blackstones was one of the first restaurants that we came upon that did not look... More

The service was very friendly and the bar tender was very attentive. The Reuben sandwich is probably the best I've had in the area with good quality meat and not greasy like some others I've had. Well worth a visit.

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.
