My husband and I had a wonderful meal here ! He got the prix fix, steak frites, that included a glass of wine , a salad and a dessert.I got the mussels. As a resident of Cape Cod,I have eaten many varieties of mussels, and these are ,by far, some of the best! We had a courteous and friendly waiter and enjoyed the... More

Convenient location in Boston's South End. The decor was classy without being formal. Most importantly, the food was great! We really enjoyed the dressing on the beet salad. Perfect, not overly done, and a very generous serving. The porkchop entrée was amazing! Service was prompt and professional. We enjoyed our entire evening here!

part of a growing restaurant group we found gaslight offers just ok fare in a nice atmosphere. hadnt been in some years, so was hoping that the food might have improved. not so. nothing was bad...just not very noteworthy. onion soup was more beef than onion with sparse cheese and fairly tasteless. duck confit exceedingly fatty. short rib tagliatale was... Gaslight is a very authentic French Brasserie. We have visited on different occasions with adults alone and adults and children for Sunday Brunch. The free parking is incredibly convenient and a real plus. As we arrived and waited for our party, we sat at high tables and immediately felt the charm of the atmosphere. The tables were tight in the... More

The menu, the marble top tables, the subway tiled walls and the aroma's of the cooked dishes that filled the air....all of which brought our entire family back to one of any restaurant in Paris. The meals were filling, the wait staff was very pleasant and attentive to any wish. Our water glasses was never less than half full. The... More

Service was good, but the food was to die for. Clams, escargot & mussels. Plus the greatest French Fries!

I don't always like French restaurants in the US, but this is definitely a great no nonsense brasserie in the South End. Great wine, great food, fabulous service. And, oh so love their little loaves of bread! If you're looking for a place to go before plays at Calderwood - give it a try!

Been here many times. The restaurant is good... free parking... cool atmosphere.... BUT the fall sangria is AMAZING. Red wine, apple brandy, ginger beer, cider. Try it.
