Gaslight is a French Brasserie with American flare. It has really good food and had a cool, old French vibe. The cocktails were well mixed, the food was excellent and the prices were great for French brasserie food. I went for the bar steak and it was excellent.

We had brunch at Gaslight a couple weeks ago. The restaurant wasn't real busy since it was a snowy Sunday, but the hostess placed us right next to another couple which I found a little weird. The service was excellent though perfunctory - the waiter didn't come by after we had been serve our meals to see if we wanted... More

Went here for Valentine's day in the midst of yet another Boston Blizzard. It was great. Our service was exceptional and our server was very nice and had a great attitude. The tagliatelle was great and I enjoyed the boeuf bourguignon was very tasty. We ordered escargot as an appetizer, and I wish we got 2 orders. It was delicious.... More

I have been to Gaslight several times for brunch and it has always been easy, pleasant, and reasonable cost. The food is not amazing but for the price it is reasonable. The selections allow for a group to be able to find what they want and the bloody Mary's are enjoyable. This is not the top of the list for... More

We sat at the bar and had a great time. It was a Saturday and they only served the brunch menu. Somewhat disappointed as we were looking forward to tartar, escargots and confit. The service was very good. Very happy with the wine list, prices and size selection. We had fun ordering 1/2 carafes and sharing. The short rib sandwich... More

It was the last weekend of 2014 where my friends and I decided to have a last minute end-of-the-year dinner. Most of the places around Boston were booked for a large group of people so Gaslight to the rescue! The first thing that I like to do once I get to a restaurant where I've never been to was to... Our family enjoyed a nice dinner here this past weekend on a snowy night in Boston. One of our family members lives in France part of the year and even she enjoyed the steak frites. It was delicious. And the others enjoyed their scallops and vegetables. The fondue appetizer wasn't anything to brag about.....expensive and puny......but the rest of the... More

My husband and I had a wonderful meal here ! He got the prix fix, steak frites, that included a glass of wine , a salad and a dessert.I got the mussels. As a resident of Cape Cod,I have eaten many varieties of mussels, and these are ,by far, some of the best! We had a courteous and friendly waiter and enjoyed the... More

Convenient location in Boston's South End. The decor was classy without being formal. Most importantly, the food was great! We really enjoyed the dressing on the beet salad. Perfect, not overly done, and a very generous serving. The porkchop entrée was amazing! Service was prompt and professional. We enjoyed our entire evening here!
