Was at a conference nearby and had 45 min for lunch. Walked to Haru and got the sushi roll lunch special... 3 rolls and salad for 16.50. Reasonable price and good food. Service was a little slow(computer was down).

I had dinner at Haru while on a business trip to Boston. The place was nearly empty on a Wednesday evening which, even on a rainy night, I found curious for a restaurant located centrally right across from Copley Place. Anyway, I had a sashimi platter and sake. The sake was good the sashimi not so much. Though there was... More

The sushi may have been the best on earth, but after waiting for 1.5 hours it just was filling a void. Thing happen, I get it. But this was beyond belief. The rolls actually were pretty good as we wolfed them down - just need better mgt!

Always liked their NYC locations and in Boston for the night and figured it was an easy good meal. Was seated fast at 830 but waiter informed us it would be at least a 45 minute wait to get sushi because they "had a lot of sushi orders". Come on. Seriously! 830 on a Friday night. Very disappointing so we... More

This place had a nice an ambience and the food was good (albeit pricey). Whilst the staff were friendly, the service was quite slow. Good choice of sushi on the menu though.

I'm not typically a happy hour kind of guy, but when the Happy Hour sign at Haru blocked the way home the other day, I gave it a shot. I've eaten here before, not because it came with glowing recommendations but because it's convenient to my place. On a rainy afternoon when I wanted to fit in an early dinner... More

It appears they are staffed with poorly trained personnel (hostess and serving waiter). We entered on a Thursday at 8pm w/no reservation and the restaurant was 1/3 filled, so we asked for a table next to the window. The hostess flustered and then said no due to others with reservations for window seats. She didn't actually look to see if... More

I eat sushi everywhere I go. I've had extraordinary experiences in Kyoto, Los Angeles, and Houston of all places. Haru is a good, reliable sushi place with no surprises. I ate there twice. The sushi is fresh and well prepared. We also had vegetable tempura, which was over-battered and a little mushy. Service was acceptable if not as attentive as... More

The sushi here is of high quality with prices to match. The waitstaff unpolished. They have fresh wasabi, a benchmark for higher end sushi places. And only $1 up-charge for the fresh, what a bargain! You have to ask for fresh wasabi as it is not on the menu. Nor is any other bargain. Sushi chefs from Korea. The place... More

Made a reservation and walked into an empty restaurant. Hostess put us at table by kitchen entrance. When we asked to move to quieter location she gave us 'the look' and moved us to a slightly better table. Field green salad was brown wilted romaine lettuce. Food was served with 15 min gap between arrival at table. Dirty tables throughout... More
