Good Sushi in Back Bay

We were staying across the street and noticed this new Japanese restaurant. It was snowing and since haru is summer, we thought we needed some summer. Very nice service and good fish on the rice. I come from a family that does not like the sushi too sweet; vinegary is best and this rice was... read more

So, i love sushi but i love efficiency even more. First, the food... The boston uncommon roll, california roll, dynamite, strawberry and dragon roll were all fantastic. Loved them, the tuna tartar with quail egg was very fresh and nicely served. The taco sushi was interesting. Would eat food again. Service? HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. She really tried but it took forever... This little sushi place seems tucked away past the Cheesecake Factory and 5 Napkins by Copley. The sign isn't easy to spot from a distance, but we certainly were glad that we walked the extra distance to discover just what Haru was. This well appointed, quiet, service-oriented restaurant was just the ticket for our lunch. the sushi was very good,... More

The food was very good and all, but the service was spectacular. This was our "first meal" after our son's surgery in Boston -- our first non-hospital concession and non-fast food meal in about two weeks -- so any decent meal would have been fantastic, but this was better. But the real sweet icing on the cake was the amazing... More

I've been to this restaurant a couple of times during weekdays, and the food is always good there! The service is always good to, and very attentive. The only complaint is that the last time we've been there on a Saturday, and we waited for more than a hour for our food (because we were a large table, more than... More

Good Sushi with a lot of choices and presented well. Nice location across the street from Copley Marriott. For a downtown location I would say the pricing is pretty reasonable. The staff is helpful and "Jenny" behind the bar was pretty funny with some good stories and definitely added to the overall experience.

I love sushi me this exceeded my expectations! The fish was fresh and abundant in each roll. I had the spicy tuna and salmon jalapeño roll, both were excellent! Great, quiet atmosphere for an afternoon while my husband was at a meeting!

Business dinner with an old friend. We were looking for great sushi and found that and more. Appetizers and the sushi rolls were excellent, and our server was one of the best ! She was engaging, funny and really knew her stuff

I have worked nearby for the last few years but did not go until this last weekend. They have some nice lunch options that are priced between $14 and $18. The price is on the high side but you got a lot of good food. I had the Sushi lunch box while my friend got the salmon teriyaki lunch box.... More

My wife and I have been here 3 times, though not in the past two years until last weekend. We live in the area and love Douza which is close by. We went on a Friday night and called Douza first which had a 45 minute wait. We walked into Haru and were immediately sat in a 1/2 empty restaurant.... More
