Good sushi place in Boston

We were visiting Boston with our teenage kids and wanted to have some sushi -- Haru was a good choice. We had several rolls, including the rainbow roll (our teenager's favorite), salmon rolls, california rolls and some others. The bill came to $80+ (without tip) and we all left very full. The fish... read more

As per prior reviews, slow service and mushy spicy tuna roll. Apart from that, good value and nice sushi. Maitre'D could do with some more enthusiasm but maybe it was us..

We decided to stop into Haru as we had 45 minutes to kill before getting on the Duck Tour which was 2 blocks down. We had planned to sit by the bar, but there was no bartender this afternoon and the manager was doing both duties. We sat down just to order drinks and an appetizer and although there were... More

I love this sushi restaurant. It's one of the best in Boston. The king crab is fabulous and there are lots of great rolls to choose from. This place has a great cool vibe with nice ambiance, music and food. Dress to impress especially after 7 pm.

This is a nice restaurant that has an excellent assortment of rolls and sushi. It is reasonably priced and you will walk away sated. The servers are quite nice and very helpful. We started with the edamame and then had the tuna tartare which was absolutely delish. We followed that with the Tuna sushi lunch, the Komodo Dragon roll and the... More

The food was ok, but not a big WOW as I expected. The sushi tended to be the Americanized style. It was ok though. However, the drawback is that it was really expensive.

I loved the location and it had a nice atmosphere. The food was good and the service was great. I recommend a table by the window if at all possible. Great place to people watch!

Perhaps this is a chain sushi place but I have to say that it is consistently very good. It is reasonably priced and rivals the higher end sushi places in Boston. I eat here every time I am in Boston, often 2-3 times out of my 5 night stay. The fish pieces are very generous for both the nigiri and... More

We have been to Haru both in NYC and here in Boston many times and have always had a great experience. We often bring friends visiting from out of town who enjoy sushi. This visit was disappointing. The food was fine, but the service was awful. The first hint that something was wrong was that it took the server twenty... More
