Great Indian food

Lamb tiki masala! One of the few places that doe it right. It's a bit pricy - $19 for dinner prices but oh so yummy. You can sit outside during the summer which is lovely and it's nice inside too. It's a pretty spacious restaurant. The service is always friendly and timely. I've never... read more

I returned to this restaurant with family after having visited here a year ago, because I had a positive experience the first time. We were not disappointed, and found the restaurant thriving, even on a cold and snowy night. The food is very savory, slightly under-spiced (i.e. if you want medium, order medium-hot). The dishes we got, including an eggplant... More

The waiter recommended a dish which was soft and over cooked; We sent it back, the restaurant manager said..."you ate most of the 3 (out of 6) mushy shrimp." Sorry. He was rude, rude, rude. We have eaten there many times and he did not seem to understand good restaurant etiquette and protocol. If the the dish is unacceptable, the... More

Yesterday I went to the Indian buffet at Kashmir on Newbury Street and I had the best Indian food ever. In addition to the buffet I was brought a basket of fresh Naan to my table. All the food on the buffet was very fresh and well prepared. I am sure to be a repeat customer at this restaurant. It... More

It took us a while to decide what to order - lots of tempting options on the dinner menu. After we selected 4 entrees to share, the waiter asked us to specify the desired level of 'hot' for each dish, which we varied from 'medium' to 'hot.' Only real complaint is that the medium was more like mild, and the... More

We visited Kashmir on New Years Eve and enjoyed a great Indian meal. Very good value for money, very generous portions and friendly staff. Loved the Naan and the mango lassi in particular.

Nice taste. Use of authentic masalas. Friendly service. Centrally situated. LIked their presentation of tandoori food items and the portion of food supplied is also quite decent.

Visited Kashmir as a single diner on a midweek evening. The service was ok, but there was definitely more attention given to larger tables. The vegetable samosas were good and the Taj Mahal beer was tasty. I asked for the Chicken Vindaloo as hot and although the the chicken was moist, the sauce was overly peppery and not typically Indian... More

I love good Indian. This did not disappoint. The server was hard to understand but that was my only beef. Had a classic chicken vindaloo, requested hot, delivered hot, and I devoured the whole thing and the portion was generous. I'd certainly go back.

We had reservations for a large group, and got our own room. We even asked for separate checks. Our young energetic waiter handled us all very efficiently, with a few mistakes. The food was pretty good, a lamb stew was delicious, but the portions were on the small side with less meat than expected. The spice level varied, and not... More
