First time here tonight for my husbands birthday. I picked this place strictly because they list a favorite Japanese whiskey on their menu that my husband likes....not my normal way of picking a place to eat. I wasn't sure what to expect. the place it fairly small but has a nice deck I will come back for in the summer.... More

The Flat Iron does not have a great selection, just a few tapas and a few entrees. I elected to have a couple of tapas and it was a great decision The calamari was excellent--light and crispy--and the herbed yogurt sauce served with it was light and flavorful. Great salad and shrimp. Drinks are a bit pricey, but a good... More

While the ambience is pleasant, at least the morning crew can be disagreeable and a bit hostile.

But food just so-so and pricey like most hotels. Bartender was pleasant but inexperienced and had to look up most drinks!

The food and drinks at the Flat Iron were really good. We especially enjoyed visiting with Alex who works in the restaurant!

Took my Valentine there for what I thought was going to be an upscale romantic dinner. We were excited about the tapas menu. The good news is that the food was well prepared and, in fact, pretty good. But the rest, not so much. We arrived ten minutes early for our reservation which seemed to be a problem for them.... More

The small portions are wonderful for those of us who eat small and early. Wine portion could have been larger for $10. Service great with lots of questions answered by staff.

Had dinner here on a business trip. Stayed in the hotel (Bluefinch) and this restaurant was still open when we checked in. I have been to Tapas Restaurants before and enjoyed them. This one the portions were really too small for sharing. (with the exeption of the kobe sliders, meatballs, and fries). We ordered 3 things apiece and were still... More

We were staying in Bulfinch Hotel and decided to have breakfast there. A wide choice on the menu and good value. Two poached eggs served with toast and also the yoghurt with toasted grains were particularly good. We ate in one evening and found the tapas were generously sized and very well cooked and presented. Do try the shrimp dish... More
