An After Work Dinner in an Informal Setting

This fine restaurant is in The Revere Hotel (formerly The 57). It was recommended to us by a member of our party who is a frequent diner in and outside of Boston. We were not disappointed - the menu was varied and the food was well presented and flavorful. The drinks were ample. I was impressed by... read more

Last week a small group of middle school students and teachers visited Rustic Kitchen as part of our life skills curriculum. Mr. Jim Cafarelli was so gracious with his time, taking us on an extensive tour of the front and back of the restaurant and explained the essentials of running a successful restaurant. The kids loved taking pictures on the... More

My friend and I shared the Rustic Bistro Salad. She also had the margherita pizza and I had the sweet Italian sausage pizza. We could see the the crust being rolled out and the pizza being taken out of the wood-fired hearth oven. Everything was fresh and delicious, but the servings were huge. Even though both pizzas were supposed to... More

first trip no table available - totally booked we were told - place was almost completely empty - next day try again for lunch - kept waiting and waiting, waiter was a zombie - bummer because the food was good. Too expensive to put up with lousy service.

Was traveling alone to attend a conference. This restaurant serves as hotel restaurant. I wound up eating here several times since it was convenient. Service was good. Food was nicely presented but not that exciting in taste. Best item I ordered was the paella but it was heavy on chicken and light on seafood.

Friends we were traveling with recommended the Rustic Kitchen. Everything was delicious and I enjoyed the diverse menu. They have a large pizza menu and a lot of "homey" dishes as well. Waitress was attentive and the food was steaming hot. We had the osso bucco and short ribs which were superb. We will be back next trip to Boston.

Had dinner here in late April 2015. The positives - the atmosphere is very nice - comfortable, warm. The food is good - and comes out quickly. The not as good things - the service is not what I would expect from a restaurant at this price point and which suggests it is "fine dining." We made a reservation on... More

We had cocktails and their amazing seafood tower, must try! Decided to stay at the hotel and were not disappointed. The service and food was great, the prices reasonable and the atmosphere was quite and peaceful.
